Stay calm dev Smiley ,Everyone getting on a new coin must realise that it's like the wild west here , sometimes not everything works properly Cheesy

Mmmmm your statement should sound more like this in my opinion really...

Quote
Come on dev Smiley ,Everyone getting on a new coin must realise that they should somehow do proper testnet and debugging before launch , as sometimes not everything works properly and needs LOTS of testing before launch:D

I understand what he is going through and I wouldn't want to be in his place right now sorting out the mess, but this coin sounds like it's slipping through his fingers, I frankly don't hold much hope about it.
I hope to be proven wrong for the sake of all of us. Let's see.

Imho guys, only RGB, it sounds damn good - straight idea about color. And what is COC? like a sort of bird. We will have soc,loc.moc.roc,fok,any*oc, but RGB, its pretty unique, so grab it before its too late.

Only RGB as official  name?

IMHO RGB is an acronym too much used in computer terms, a google search will not bring you to information relevant to this coin.

We need a name with something "unique", or at least a little more specific.

How about RGBCoin?

Hello, I really like the aesthetics of this coin, and incredably make a logo. In the end I have a few versions out.
If I like them Use it freely. If you want to change something what you say and what I try.

A nice clean job, maybe a little too dark. (personal taste)

IMHO If the name of the coin is RGB you should give more emphasis to 3 main colors,
but that's just my opinion

We are working now on the source, but we got stucked.
Something went wrong but we didn't find the problem yet.

Were you able to isolate the type of problem, or to identify the common symptoms?

When it comes to finding a needle in a haystack, maybe we can help, a dozen eyes
can find it more easily than 2, but first we must understand what we have to try.

I understand your frustration in trying a little bug, and the pressure that you feel here,
so to avoid misunderstandings, with what I have to say I do not want to offend, nor be angry.

Had you tried a full life cycle of money in the testnet, including the transition to the pos?

If it's not possible we may do a relaunch with fixed issues and 5% daily pos interest.

What you think about?

Five per cent of interest daily, any day, for ever?
Do you have done the math? Get a huge calculator.

IMHO, on long term this interest is unsustainable.
Too much coin, the coin will get 0 value very soon.

As a "temporary" solution, until the problem is solved,
do you have think to simply  prolong the POW phase?

This would have several practical advantages:
1) The community would back its currency alive and functioning.
2) The pool should not close but instead may have again their clients to mine
3) It would also give to the few who still do not know the coin, the possibility
to mine it, and so the coin could expand its user base
4) It should be easy to implement, even without finding the bug.
5) You can find the solution with little bit less pressure.

The main disadvantage is that it will increase the mass of coins in circulation,
and this is a factor to consider. If necessary, you could reduce the reward of
future blocks until the POS problem is resolved.

I think part of the success of a currency also depends on the prestige of its
developer and its ability to hold together the community that adopts it.

If the developer does not proves to be able to identify the first problem
that presents itself to its product and find a remedy, but instead tries to
give up and start another project ...
Well ... I think that few will ever lend him any more attention or follow
him in his projects.

So my advice is:
Want to start other projects, use other sources, other solutions?
Ok, but first find an acceptable remedy for this problem. ASAP

Again... sorry for the tone, no offense.

Is there any developer who can help fix the coin? I'm sure the original developer can reward him good with coins from the premine.

dedicated pools still has 51500 coins i havent received yet and now the pool is closed, fi the problems now so i can my coins, and get PoS started.

(dont start a coin if you dont know what youre doing)  Roll Eyes
Maybe the server was down but they are up now. I communicated with digitalclock through IRC, and he said he will leave the pool open as long as needed for us to recover or coins, so I'm sure he won't close it before the POS is fixed.

He might mean 5% annual interest compounded daily. I wrote him a PM about doing daily compounding, and maybe he accepted the idea. So in the coin specs you could give APR (annual percentage rate) and APY (annual percentage yield) with daily compounding, similar to a bank account.

Coin died unborn. Vivat dev. Lost time and money.

The silence and lack of updates from dev speaks for itself. I remain faithful to my idea that someone who doesn't know how to manage a coin should refrain from launching it, unless there is an ulterior motive to do it. If PoS is not fixed within the next 1-2 days maximum, it would be quite clear that this coin is, as you well said, died unborn. Next time, I guess I'll send my electricity bill to the dev!  Grin

It's not. A currency that doubles every year is unstable. Each coin would become 1024 coins after 10 years and 1,048,576 coins after 20 years.

nice coin, i  will mine it
Since the coin's mining period has already passed, you'll have to mine it in a multipool that mines other coins and buys RGB coins with the proceeds.
