Does Bitcointalk store the IP of users?

It does. But only theymos (and maybe some mods) have access to them. What's for sure though is that they're never going to get public. And besides that, finding someone by his IP address is not something easy to do. Even if he was using his real IP you'd only be able to get an idea of his general area by it. Puting charges on someone just by knowing his IP is not even considered as evidence too.

Not really useless at all

With his real IP, one can report to the police at his area and may then know more his personal details including where he lives after getting his registered address from the ISP etc

IS the community taking over sharecoin?     Someone should set up a new exchange with some sensible pricing and rules so that sharecoin holders can realize what they invested into.

That means, that you want others, to carry the losses for you, trough buying your coins.

For a coin to realize value, it 1st has to purchase something.

I am asking for a community take over.  The community runs sharecoin.  I am sure all stakeholders will agree that would be good.

Terrible idea.  The thief zip still owns the majority of coins.  If the coin increases in value, he will just dump and make more money off the community.  It's best to just let this one die.

I think people have been burnt a bit too much lately, to even consider such investment, most would like to get some losses back 1st and then....maybe.

Many IPO's left people with a fat lip and an empty pocket, Edgecoin and NFD coin are good examples, Limecoinlight did not perform well either.

I can understand the disdain in investing in another exchange. But if you can not or do not want to invest then all we ask is for you as a customer  Smiley

This exchange will be owned 90% buy the community please keep that in mind as well.
All coins will have the high level of background check and research, to stop scam coins.
We will have bank level security it has been and is being checked by crowdcurity for the last 2 months.
It is operational already.

With respect to NFD, you're right in the sense that it was a scam when the scamdev was running its IPO back in April and May. But after he grabbed the BTC and ran, a team of victims (incl. myself) got together and brought it to launch and distribution:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=603932.0

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=653516.0

The initial distribution is complete and NFDs are already being traded in this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=653599.0

But I want to emphasize that the NFD rebirth is a first-of-its kind story - and everyone should assume it's a one-of-a-kind story unless shown otherwise. I was scammed in the original NFDCoin IPO; that's why I joined the team. But I was also scammed on Edgecoin, Multicoin and AlterEgo coin. For those three scams, the scamcoins died as per usual. You're bang-on about scams becoming more frequent nowadays, to the point where many people are getting tired, jaded and leery.

And yes, I was scammed on Sharecoin. I bought 100,000 of them for ~0.45 BTC in total. Truth be told, I was seriously hoping that Sharex would be the first to list NFD at the time Ziplibrary took off. So much for that wish...

Thanks for the link, RiverBoatBTC. If you remember, I called attention to your doxing service in the NFD revival thread for the benefit of anyone tempted to invest in another IPCO. Do you plan to list Nxt-like coins once Cryptney is up and running? If so, please PM me and/or reply in this thread. NFD is already trading in this thread.

People seem to think it will fail, but these are the same people that ignore the alt-currency forums in all for the most part.

We want to set the customer service standard in the alt-coin community.
