Mh, i dont like the new logo (thread), the old one was way better.
If you have to keep it - maybe make the backround transparent?

Also "http://www.xbcplus.com" is missing on the mainpage Roll Eyes

Has funding been raised for voting? I realize most funding is probably for bounties, but MP voting is now somewhat expensive. Any of the xbc whales using some of their gains to spend on voting?

Ideally that is what some of the ipo could have been used for, but evidently that can't happen now.

After the new wallet/website comes out, to me the first priority should be getting on Cryptsy/MP. An XBC marketplace would also be nice (I suggest modeling it after Noblecoin's marketplace).

As for this casino thingy, any info on what that is exactly?

As of right now we have not raised funding for votes, because of volume the chances of being added are quite high.  In regards to the casino we are partnering with yogg who runs a very transparent gambling site seen here:

There was talk over irc with one of our supporters that may have a poker site that could take XBC as well. As always though please use good judgement when gambling, in other words if you're up its probably a good time to stop Smiley

XBC will be on a large exchange sooner than we expect, once wallet drops tonight it opens the doors to many things. As for an online store I have been speaking with a few vendors that have the goods to make this happen. It may be a bit down the road though.

Regarding the IPO as you said that's highly unlikely, but it has a bright side of pulling together as a community to make things happen.

One thing I was thinking before bed last night was doing a raffle for everyone. Maybe with an iPad air as top prize and then subsequent prizes below that. Its just a thought and we could do a .5-1 XBC per entry into the raffle. The proceeds could go towards the development wallet and a portion to the prizes. Let me know if you all like this idea and I can get this going next week. Obviously transparency during the process would be a top concern for me, I may as well get it tattooed on my forehead because I only want the best coin and community behind xbc. Please leave your thoughts and ideas on this thread or hash it out on irc. Thank you all!

True about volume, as it's very possible the coin gets added automatically without tons of votes.

As for marketplaces, vendors are fine, but quite often crypto marketplaces look like bad eBay sites. You get oddball merchants with a handful of items that most people probably wouldn't buy from normally. I like how Noble Coin did it ... if you look at their marketplace, they first focus on gift cards. The Amazon cards are pretty much the equivalent to fiat, to many people, as you can buy just about anything at Amazon. They also sell (or will sell) gold/silver too. If you set up a marketplace with gift cards rather than relying on vendors, I think it would be more appealing. Getting the coin on coinpayments may be a priority for something like that to happen.

And the raffle idea is fine, although personally I'm not keen on entering raffles. I never win raffles, and am not an xbc whale with spares to give away. But if XBC whales offer up for the raffle, it could work.

I also guess I'm an optimist, as somehow I think the original dev and current team could work something out, especially in regard to the ipo money. I don't know all the details behind that though.

Mullick from cryptsy is finishing up the wallet over the next 5-6 hours. We are hoping for it to drop around 8-10 pm EST. Everyone for safety reasons be sure to make a back up copy of your wallet.dat file just in case of emergency. It may not even be necessary but its always good to take precautions.

May I suggest in the original post where you list CNY exchange to tack on a Chinese "人民币". By putting the Chinese in that spot you may be able to attract some nice attention, as they usually just scan over English and don't really read it. The Chinese will pop out at them and they will pay more attention or feel the need to Google Translate it to read more thoroughly.  Grin

Feel free to hit me up for a Chinese translation if necessary. I run a translation and cultural consulting firm here in Hong Kong, and we could get something together for you (also it helps that a good amount of us understand cryptos).

I'm really looking forward to the growth of XBC and view it as one of the "upper" level coins like primecoin, NMC, etc. This coin has potential to even get on BTC-E in my opinion.

You can currently purchase XBC on poloniex or bittrex.
https://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_xbc

https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-XBC

You can also mine on hashcows and choose XBC as your payout from our multipool. Please see the first post for more details and links.

Due to there only being 55,000 coins in circulation giveaways don't last long.
