Do you think freebitco.in is considered gambling? I rolled the dice twice and got like 400 satoshi, but i never made any bets or deposited bitcoin in that site... Is that considered gambling? And is freebitco.in even a gambling site? Online gambling is illegal in my state... Thanks!

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

well the rolling part, no, but you can gamble that btc you've got in second tab, so that is considered gambling. Also, try Primedice, you can request payment every one minute if you have no btc, so try that one, here: primedice.com

Maybe consider it like entering a competition. Either the faucet gives you 400 sats or more sats or none.

freebitco.in is gambling if you play the faucet
However as the inputs to play the faucets are free in effect possible maybe to argue that it's game money
Not gambling until you withdraw the btc Smiley

I think gambling is something that has to do with money (money betting)

So, Freebitco.in IS NOT a gambling site since you dont pay money to play, you don't earn money if you win.

Bitcoin is not money (that'a what every one says out at the money / market world) so your possible earnings is NOT money, it's just some kind of online "coupons" that can get you free things online.

Is bitcoin illegal at your country, too?

I wouldn't call that gambling. I think gamble would be considered when you play at casino which has T.O.S. and is legally registered and meet all casino requirements according to the state laws. And rolling the dice for bitcoins, I don't think this is considered as a gamble because It doesn't need any casino T.O.S. registered in the state. But I'm not sure.

I'm pretty sure it's considered gambling.  Also, the faucet is not worth it unless you have A LOT of time on your hands...

The faucet is just a huge waste of time, when that time can be used for other ways to get btc.

I would focus on growing your referral, then doing the free rolls.

It is allowed to play online poker and holding a poker tournament In Germany, but there is ban on games with real cash prizes.
I wonder in this case BTC=money or not?

Even if you have a lot of time, you could have spent it on other more meaningful / more profitable stuff.

Well I also "played" on that site, and won some coins.

A while ago, I won one of the "jackpots" in the "free" section and it added 0.00060000 BTC to my earnings. {That is equel to a few cents}

I did not think it was possible to win any of these jackpots... just thought it was a "carrot" for your greed.  Grin

And it does pay out, but it's miniscule.

If in theory, you do win the big jackpot, which i doubt, you could win +/- $ 1000 worth in BTC.

If you play only with your "free" roll earnings, you not paying anything.

Earnings from hourly "roll of dice" is +/- 0.00000448 {So if you never sleep and roll every hour, and win no jackpots} Daily earning is
0.00005376 BTC and that = +/- 0.02 {USD} per day at today's rate.

Good luck.. Hope you win millions of BTC.

Hope my calculations are correct.

This is pretty spot on, "introduce" meaning not a serious amount.  Smiley

IMO, it doesn't worth the time to collect payment from faucets, but it may make sense if you have the ability to get hundreds or thousands of referrals.
