Hello World  Cheesy

Another newbie here. I have been reading a lot on bitcoins etc from here and never registered until now. I admit I'm still not really educated on the whole thing just what I've read so far. I was thinking of investing 100 Euros and would like to get some help from you all.

First what is the easiest way to get bitcoins in Spain without linking your bank accounts etc. I was thinking of buying ukash vouchers and exchanging it online for bitcoin. Is this safe and if so what sites are trusted for the exchange. There are a ot of sale points selling ukash vouchers here at any amount you want so this makes it easier for me.

Second, I made an account at blockchain.info and got everything setup to receive my bitcoins if I buy then eventually is this the best place to enable sending and receiving at low charges?

Thanks

You can buy bitcoins using Ukash on the marketplace here. Blockchain.info is a great wallet, especially for beginners, but make sure to set up all the security features such as 2-factor auth and a second password. You can choose how much fee to pay when you send money on there.

There's also a Spanish subforum if you want to check that out: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=27.0

Just a friendly warning. If u use this forum to buy/sell, always use an escrow.

Meet in person, pay cash. If you are in madrid or another major city this should be no problem. You can either find people on this board or via localbitcoins (use their escrow service!).

I was thinking of buying ukash vouchers and exchanging it online for bitcoin.

Ukash has been used in the past for ransomware so it should provide reasonable anonymity, but someone will have to go first. So this would require escrow to be safe, which adds complexity.

Is this safe and if so what sites are trusted for the exchange. There are a ot of sale points selling ukash vouchers here at any amount you want so this makes it easier for me.

I dont know of any exchanges that accept ukash. The big ones usually only accept traditional payment after a time and money consuming verificationproccess. This proccess however is usually a one time deal, so if you plan to buy more in the future this might give you the security you want. If I understand you correctly you also want anonymity though, which no exchange I know of provides. They are usually bound by money laundry laws.

Second, I made an account at blockchain.info and got everything setup to receive my bitcoins if I buy then eventually is this the best place to enable sending and receiving at low charges?

Receiving is allways free of charge. When sending bitcoin you should include a little payment (currently 0.0001 per 1kb) called miners fee. With some wallets or accounts you can reduce this fee or skip it entirely, but there are many people complaining about their transactions taking several days. These people usually paid a very low or no miners fee. So if you want to send fast, tip the miners Wink

Blockchain.info is a reasonable wallet for beginners since it is realitvly easy to handle, does not require you to download the whole blockchain, but still leaves you in charge of your private keys (they allow you to spend your coins). Make sure you have a strong password and use 2fa.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

Thanks man. I will be checking the Spanish section out then. I think selling on the marketplace here is ideal as all the reviews I've read on most of the exchange sites that have ukash option are bad.

I have no experience of Ukash personally, but I often see people buying and selling via it on the marketplace here. There's some more info on money transfer services here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=14632.0

And If you do buy from here make sure to use a reputable escrow: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=108716.0

@BitcoinDream thanks a lot for the tip.

I'm in Palma de Mallorca and yes anonymity is why I choose ukash. They just sell you any amount you want over the counter and print your receipt out. Lots of good points from you thanks a lot man.

Thanks again. I tried with VirWox but it seems so complicated after I registered and a lots of transfers from A-B-C  just to get the coin eventually. Like you've rightly suggested I will patronise the marketplace with the escrow service. I just want my first experience with bitcoins to be smooth not like some threads I read on here  Wink

The only option on btc-e after you select EURO are OKPAY, Perfect Money, Payeer.com and SEPA all of which I have no idea how to acquire anonimously in Palma. Ukash on the other hand is sold right under my apartment

Have you tried localbitcoins? You could find people selling bitcoin with cash around you.
Blockchain.info is okay, but don't forget to enable 2FA.

Yes I did, the closest to me is on another Island Ibiza and that's about 128km away from me. I'm actually surprised though as I thought Palma de Mallorca would have more people trading bitcoins. The Spanish section here doesn't help me much as well.
