Perhaps Bitpay is intent on simply waiting for the inevitable logarithmic cycle to play itself out, and then claim credit for the boom?

It sure looks logarithmic when you make the distance between 1,000 USD and 500 USD really small. Widen that out a bit and it doesn't look like shit. Idiots always posting FUD graphs rofl.

it is logarithmic, the distance between 500 and 1000 is the same as the distance between 1 and 2 and 1000 and 2000.

it's a legitimate chart.

These pre-announcements of announcements are somewhat annoying. Why are they doing that?

Merchant adoption is great but what we really need is customer adoption to grow significantly

If bitpay has empaneled a big name, thats great but only one part of the picture

+ 100

I suppose merchants come before the customers though.

But I agree - adding a major merchant is good for morale (speculation price increase) not for actual price increases based on adoption and commerce.

Hopefully that will come in time.

Or Wikipedia finally.  But who knows.

Use reverse human psychology.

The wording is indicative and not coincidental.

Key words:

1)  Big (its something large in size physically).  Not figuratively big I bet.
2)  They wouldn't say "To the Moon" to sound hip or trendy.  More likely its space related.

Im going with Virgin Galactic extending Bitcoin acceptance to Virgin Airlines.
Or SpaceX or some other Private agency that will have consumer moon rides in the next 20 years.
The "big" thing of course would be the rocket.

Is there any reason for pre announcements? Like 2x as much attention for bitpay  Huh

Anyway, nice to see good Bitcoin news after some time, whatever it is

So basically you are saying that an announcement of an announcement is not news?
Anyway, nice to see good Bitcoin news after some time, whatever it is
And now you say it is "good news"?

Ah, I'm also so sick about announcements of announcements and would love to filter them out somehow but I understand companies do it for their extra buzz.

what i would consider big in the area of what bitpay does is this:

probably a buyout/partnership with a big fiat transmitter??

in regards to the $30mill capital thy have, maybe its a shareholder buy-up/partnership with something like paypal or western union perhaps.
making it easier to get hold of multiple currencies and bringing a FIAT transmitter into the bitcoin eco-space
