The old version opened and ran fine for me... trying to open this new version and it wont open at all.. locks up and says "not responding" .... tried bootstrapping and same result... ...then tried running old version with the new peers.dat and new blockchain download and the old version tells me I have like 10KTK.... Not right at all, I was on the original distribution list and didn't dump, I have almost 40,000KTK

Yeah, new wallet absolutely refuses to open... stuck with grayed out wallet window saying "not responding"... debug.log keeps repeating: getblocks stopping at limit 918745 6aab7ae41670b8e9cfc1 getblocks 885746 to 00000000000000000000 limit 500 getblocks stopping at limit 886245 b786998a67d730094689 getblocks 886246 to 00000000000000000000 limit 500 getblocks stopping at limit 886745 aa0ce3b72a1231ddd810 getblocks 918746 to 00000000000000000000 limit 500 getblocks stopping at limit 919245 4c88e1efa1925d55c72f getblocks 886746 to 00000000000000000000 limit 500 getblocks stopping at limit 887245 85be6e14060597d6650d ... I reverted to an older copy of the wallet and used a copy of my wallet.dat from 2015... I get connections on the network and most of my coins are there.. but they aren't minting and I get an error saying "checkpoint too old, wait for blockchain to download or contact developers"... Any help?

Please make a backup copy of your appdata folder, most important your wallet.dat file. Any old conf file, remove it. None of the old nodes are online. Do a fresh wallet install with the update. After installed, you can replace the blockchain files and DB folder. Let me know how you get on. Any help? I already did all that and the new QT refuses to open... the new wallet QT hangs as a grayed out box that says "Kryptcoin - Wallet (Not Responding) _ ◘ X" If I do all the steps you mentioned but run the old QT instead of the new QT, the wallet opens fine, will connect and mints new coins, but I get the "WARNING: checkpoint too old" message... should I just ignore the warning? is there any way I can verify I'm on the correct blockchain and not a fork?

When you open the wallet, "help > debug window" will show the current number of blocks. Which displays current number of blocks: 1242209, also when sync you can hover over the green tick bottom right and see the amount of blocks you've downloaded. So be good if matches. The only issue, with the old wallet is it has old nodes, which were replaced with dns seeder. But if it's working and on the same chain should be fine. Well as of right now I'm at 1242298, so I'm going to guess I'm on the correct chain. I'll just use the old QT and ignore the warning then. Thanks for the help

Okay, so I've contact yobit to ask if they will update the wallet. See what happens there!
Hopefully soon enough we will have 1-2 more exchanges available.
=====
Pretty sure have now finalised a deal to get a major wallet update. Once work starts will post and provide ongoing details as things progress.
Wallet will be updated to PoS 3.0, along with anon through masternodes.

Great news! Looking forward to the updated wallet. Any idea how many coins are needed for masternode?

No decisions have been made yet on coins required. Once we have a couple of exchanges the price will very likely go down, so will be easy for anyone to grab some for when the new wallet is ready and masternodes are available. Great news! Looking forward to the updated wallet. Any idea how many coins are needed for masternode?

Not right now, once things start progressing can give a better idea of a release date.

Good luck for all the loyal holders.
