If Bitpay, Coinbase and Secondmarket imploded gox style, then after the fallout settles I'd be a bull.
So basically you are after $25-40 coins ?

To elaborate I don't really care about the price, I just think it would be hilarious if they go under since they are the smuggest idiots still left. At this point what's left might be tolerable, but who knows.
The only thing that would be even better if the if the winkledouches get arrested or Risto turns his Bitcoin Manison into an alternative medicine mental hospital. (actually I like both they're funny) What I can't stand is this pseudo corporatist attitude present in these endeavors, and I'm quite sure many people here share my feelings, they just don't like to be alienated. I have no problem with the buy and hold or even the pump & dump crowd, but the those "companies" should get what's coming for them. (I have little problems with other endeavors, the ones which don't really need those other 3 to survive at least.)

What's coming to them is money. Why is this a problem to you?

"what would it take for me to become a bull?" hehe, nice question. I'm not exactly "your average bear" but I am not especially bullish for perhaps the next couple months... that's a virtex chart I posted last week, if we break above that line and hold above it for a week or so, then I would still be cautious. I can't remember why I came up with my target, but until we hold above 620 (CAD on virtex) for more than 24 hours I still consider us to be deep in the woods. no technical backing at all, just my thoughts, take them with a grain of salt, they're tastier that way

April 2013 lol. That guy mus be so sad he sold all his bitcoin in april 2013. I have a feeling that perhaps he didn't sell all his coins back then. I wouldn't shed any tears for proudhon, I get the feeling he's doing just fine. still the only bitcointalk member that I know of that has had a song written about him. (other than satoshi of course.)

Bears out there, what would turn you into a bull? Perhaps a certain news headline, significant world event, or T/A event?

Maybe when their government currencies fail and they have to use bitcoins.
They will still complain though and say that government currencies were the reason for the good ol' days. That bitcoin ruined all of that.
When 'government currencies fail', there will be an apocalypse, you will have much more to worry about than money/investing, and bitcoin will not save you. Nobody should be hoping for this - be careful what you wish for. Why would a currency failing cause an apocalypse? Currencies have failed plenty of times throughout history and we've yet to see an apocalypse. All that would happen is that our economy would suffer and we would probably end up switching to a new currency, like Brazil in the 90s (the Real Plan)

Never mind that the collapse of any hard currency is far from imminent, even the euro (the best candidate) is still alive and kicking, having made recently new yearly highs to the USD. It might end bad, but you can rest assure it won't collapse without a hard fight that will take a few years more.
