You are right I prefer no premine. It's just me and a lot of other folks don't like it butit happens. Several coins launched with none. Their devs mined at the get go and even got the jump because they know when block 1 (Alpha) drops and their miners fire up first even if just for seconds or minutes it's a huge advantage. In this case 1000 coins sounds small as does a 5 coin premine. It's really 1000.000000 and a 5.000000 premine. The vast majority of people will own 0.010000 or less of this coin after mining ends. So the 5.000000 is massive. It's really a decimal move to make this appear rare. Truth is a whole single coin is rare but not it's pieces. Those pieces are what will be traded around like most other single coins are. Just the way BTC is usually moved about. in satoshi amounts. There are millions more BTC whole coins than this will have. If this moon rides it's a huge payout for the devs. if it flops it's nothing. Thats pretty much the story with any crypto. I do think the dev should get something so maybe a 1.00000  premine coin of this oh so very rare whole coin would still be worth a shit ton if it pans out right. It looks to be a winner as it has a good name and good looking coinface. I'll mine it too. Worst case i loose a few days off my darkcoin miners.

I personally don't think premine is an issue because if this coin launched without premine, none of you will donate any SYNC for development fund. 0.5% it's just for investment for work done. SYNC is a unique coin which comes with premium services which is not cheap. For the past 3 days i have spent heavily on promotion and services I am working to get articles on major news outlet before PoW period ends.

It's true it does have wow factors otherwise I would not even bother to type anything at all and move on to the next "big thing" crypto. That's why I am wanting to ask stuff. I've seen ninja premines. You know the hidden kind and everyone finds out days after the fact and BS like that? You know the kind where the first 0-50 blocks mined that show nothing and then all the regular bock transaction show up after those and then later those hidden fisrt blocks blocks get revealed to be at wallet address belonging to dev and friends on the richlist that mined a few minutes earlier before all the massive hash hit? Not my 1st ride in a cryptocoin launch rodeo and only a fool would NOT ask and question you about all the BS they saw go down before with other coins. Having a working block explorer and richlist only give credence to your coins honesty. For that matter you should test the wallet and other things so there are no BS snafus at launch.  No need to wait on those till after launch at all. You have .5% premine so you generated coins and therefore can test all these things out while we wait for launch.

Not talking about the 50 block maturity or are you saying this coin will have the 1st 50 blocks with no payout? It wasn't stated anywhere. Just the normal block payouts is all I saw on the announce. .14 payout per block x 50 blocks is 7 coins. So can't be for premine. besides premine is just that before the mining starts. What's the point of them? I hope you don't have a ninja premine. I'm talking in the explorer when it shows nothing about those 50 other than that they where generated or it could be less than 50 maybe its 10 or 5 or whatever the ninja premine is decided to be. Dev would know.

Although it's not an insane % "Premine: 0.5%" is a huge amount of this coin. Thats 5 coins of the 1000 coin pile. most folks will likely have Satoshi amounts of this coin after mining. something like .0002200 SyncCoin. Who will hold the 5 coin bag coins and will they be accounted for and will they be used for the coin or is it just a grab for the dev and friends? I like this coins concept and will mine but this premine disturbes me. why not just have none and mine with everyone else at the start. Fair start for all. Will the blockchain explorer be ready at launch as well as a richlist so we know there is any ninja premines and who holds the coins?

Um, so are you saying the pre-mine is big because there are only 1000 coins? So if there were 10 million coins then a 0.5% pre-mine would be ok?

Ignoring the maths debate I see you would prefer no pre-mine at all, but if that was the case how do the coin developers get rewarded for their work? I don't mind a small pre-mine, ok it gives the devs a pile of coins but that's more of an incentive for them to ensure that the coin is successful because then that pile will be worth more. Ideally I'd like to see the pre-mine in a locked wallet that only releases 10% of its holding for every 1000 blocks mined in order to stop a dump and run but I'm not sure that's technically possible
