I bet many of the new coins are created so asic hardware can be sold. Same thing is happening with scrypt asic as SHA asic.
SHA coin releases have dried up a little and scrypt asic releases have increased. I bet it switches back to SHA when the scrypt hardware
inventory starts to dry up and new SHA asic miners come out. Wash rinse repeat. It affects coin value also, just look at LTC and DOGE...
