Who cares about the stupid Chinese military dictators? BTW... if any Chinese want to access the Bitcoin websites, then they can do that via the TOR browser or through using a VPN.

Too bad the Chinese exchanges weren't pushing clients to get VPNs going unless they assumed they were gonna be left untouched going on into the future. Anyways, China sure is going DPRK on social stuff again.

Those Chinese citizens with any brains left are already using VPNs or other methods to access exchanges such as BTC-E (the exchange recently enabled offshore Yuan deposits).

It seems to be quite hard to bypass Great Firewall of China using VPN. Tried it once and it didn't work.

No wonder that every year millions of highly qualified Chinese are immigrating to the Western nations, such as the US and the UK. After a few years, only the retards will remain in China.

http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/jan/21/privacy-tools-censorship-online-anonymity-tools

In Vietnam, VPN is used by 38% of the online population and in Brazil and Thailand 36%. Mexico, India and China all reported use by an estimated 34% of the population that has access to the internet, with the UAE and Argentina on 32%.

so only dummy's are stoped by firewals.

You are simply not clever It looks! ,  Wise UP or die is the motto Smiley....
34% of the chineese is more clever then YOU are Smiley
For  DPI to work you Need a PATTERN Smiley , if no pattern can be found DPI is USELESS!
You come from a western country so you never needed to protect , thinking gov is friend.
If a connection is random noise no DPI will help.

China's track record is not good. I am surprised they haven't blocked bitcoin related sites earlier. There is nothing to worry, bitcoin users in China, like every where else in the world, are likely to be a bit more technical than average. They should know how to find a way round the great firewall of China.
