Hi,

newbie over here  Grin I send you my adress??

how are the plans for turism going?

Going well considering. We have one major Irish Pub chain in Dublin and Wicklow http://www.darcymcgeesatthespawell.ie/ and 2 hotels and bed and breakfasts. We also have some small Irish gift shops both online and around the country. We'll update the site design and have an Irishcoin merchant directory post the 17th. More details on our radio-athon here: http://irishcoin.blogspot.ie/?view=magazine

Will you look at the golden tresses on that lass* on the right?  Kiss  Kiss  Kiss (The blonde on the left ain't half bad either  Kiss )

I'm sold Cool I missed the St Paddy's day giveaway but I see they also sell Beamish in your IRL accepting pub, so I'll be over after I've downloaded and compiled a linux wallet, and mined enough at 4KH/s !! to buy a pint or two of the "black and tan" nectar Smiley

Of course by then I expect you to have persuaded Aer Lingus to accept IRL too! In that case I may need to buy a proper mining rig :-)

Now I do like the Beamish and Dublin/Eire is definitely on my "bucket list" but I couldn't drink a whole distillery !! Wink

How much does a pint cost? or have you gone all metric on us? I have 13 IRL so far but I did just set up a faster miner Smiley

So whats going on?  It is True Irishcoin It coin is yet alive according to:
         https://bleutrade.com/exchange/IRL/BTC

but it look dead on this thread according to:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=812247.msg9092864#msg9092864

You guys could be more participative on thread...... anyway please advice if I must remove Irishcoin of list of waiting  for a answer:

I have been in email contact with one of the tech guys at http://irishcoin.org - I seem to have confused him Huh But at least they do reply Smiley

It did occur to me that one of the lasses (ladies) in the pic above might be his girlfriend. I assumed they were PR girls hired for the day. I certainly meant no offence with my remarks. If I did, I most humbly apologise.

Mart.

@PaddyMac - are you part of the Irishcoin.org ?

¡Hola! @Rw13enlib88 Smiley (any reason for that nick or is it just random letters/numbers, or the password to your Irish bank account(s)? Cheesy

Irishcoin is definitely not 'dead' by any normal definition. http://Irishcoin.org seems alive and well to me Smiley Active nodes, active exchange, we don't need much more than that or do we?

I did ask @PaddyMac earlier in this topic, "are you part of the Irishcoin.org ?" i.e. is he part of the dev team, but no reply here at bitcointalk after two weeks Sad

I hope it's just a case of devs not being up to speed on the benefits of forums and other social media.
Or they have more 'pressing' duties to perform...
(if one of those two was my GF I'd be 'performing'... a lot  Cool )
I will be very disappointed if it turns out to be a sophisticated pump and dump  Cry
I don't speak or write Gaelic, so I guess they really did not understand my questions.
When I told them that I have (seriously) added to my 'bucket list'
Quote
Visit Ireland and buy, with a discount using Irishcoin, a pint of Murphy's or Beamish, or even Guinness!
. He couldn't give me even a rough idea of how much a pint would cost, or the a %age discount I'd get in Darcy McGee's using Irishcoin.
The guy also suggested I was free to pump and dump if I want!
Let's hope they are just too busy (doing what?) to pop their heads in the door of our 'Pub' here?
I'll try to contact http://www.darcymcgeesatthespawell.ie/ and see if the Pub Landlord knows anything.

Looks to me like bit1 and/or his deadcoin list is dead (RIP). Follow up from me at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=812247.20 later.

So what would your choice be @Rw13enlib88 ? Blonde?  or Golden? I am of course talking about the colours of  beer  Wink

Cheers!

Hi Guys,
Sorry for the lack of posts here and yes I should be more active with forums. I am one of the devs on the actual tourism side here in Ireland. To answer the pump & dump question, if this was the case we'd have done it countless times by now. As you can see the coin has been pretty stable for the last year and we hope to keep it that way.

Mart2000 I was talking to one of the other dev guys that you emailed and I've seen your inquiry. Maybe I'm wrong but he did say dump if you want to not pump! Cheesy

IRL is in no way here purely for its intrinsic value as a digital currency in the first stage. We're promoting and using it as a discount token for our specific area. We all work in the tourism area and now we're very busy now in that season. That's not to say it wont have value in the future but if you're looking for a quick buck, sorry. We will in due course concentrate in getting our test retailers with our mobile POS this season. We'll take it from there and see how it goes. IrishGiftShop will open it's door online again, I'm told in June and will be accepting both IRL (discount) and BTC (purchase).

The web guy has his act together on the site and we'll make in more mobile friendly and integrate the news blog. http://irishcoin.blogspot.ie

Keep the faith!

IMO We need to focus on being included in more exchanges.

We can start with little exchanges, but the main objective is to be in Cryptsy, Bittrex and Poloniex.

And we need to be in Coinmarketcap

Excellent update Paddy Smiley Thank you.

Your support guy did say he wasn't sure if I was being serious or not, which is fair enough. It is not everyday that somebody writes in and says, "hey guys, I am due to die in around ten years and before I go I would really love to visit the Emerald Isle, and as a bonus, buy a discounted pint using IRL.  Then drink a pint of the REAL stout, made with Liffy water?  before it gets pasteurised, petrified or whatever they do to it before they ship it to England. I know our forefathers have had some serious disagreements in the past, to put it very mildly, but nobbling a dying man's stout? surely not!  T'is true though, I had a better pint of stout in Meg O'Malley's Irish pub in Old Downtown Melbourne, Florida, USA than I ever drank at home. And her ale pie and cabbage IS worth dying for! But maybe I digress, just a little...

1. I never joke about death.

2. Could one of you nip out to any Irish pub, and just tell me the current price of a good Pint? or have you gone totally EU and been "litre'd"?

3. Google translate does not know "bannocht". If you let me know what it means I will "teach" google some Gaelic, or you can login to google.com and do it:-
https://translate.google.com/#auto/en/Slan%20agus%20bannocht

At the risk of doing serious further harm to Irish-English relations with really bad google-ised Gaeilge...

Ba é an t-ainm ar mo Dhaid (RIP) Patrick. Glaoite Pat nó Paddy ag a chairde.

Mianta is Fearr,

Mart

p.s. 284 days to St Patrick's Day and counting Smiley
p.p.s. I'm not so photogenic myself, but Mrs Mart is younger and prettier, when WE visit, WE could make it a media event in association with liveireland.com Wink (well you did say that you like WE Wink

Hi Irish Community,

We need to be in CoinMarketCap
Serious investors will check how much is the Irish Market Cap, and we are not there!!

We have a block explorer running and an exchange

Please to ask them to be list IRL!!
