They never controlled anything anyway. I don't get why people make such a fuss over the foundation. They don't speak for the community. I'm also sure an organisation llike them is bound to fail at some point or another, but a decentralised organisation will be interesting.

Interresting ...

I do believe in ONE MAN, ONE VOTE as a base of any democratic system; the main problem is .. how can we achieve it ? how to build a system where does not mater if you have 1 satoshi or 990.000 bitcoins .. you have, as a human being inside the community, the same value as anybody else ... because no one is better than anyone else ...

The Bitcoin Foundation is paying one or more lead devs, so they do control "something" which is very important.
This is an amazing challenge for the open source model, since such huge amounts of money are involved.

The greatest achievement of the bitcoin foundation is managing to convince other people that they are relevant.

This is sad but it's the truth, while in paper the a bitcoin fondation is a great idea and it is of most importance to defend bitcoin interest, and why not even lobby in governments and to create connection with tech giants and spread the bitcoin to the world, right now it just giving negativity to bitcoin and a money hog

I'm on it! I'm sure there's a thread on this forum somewhere where someone from the State Dept. was seeking a few good users to testify on Capital Hill, opting to not email TBF.

"Dank, do you solemnly swear on your Guitar Hero Guitar to tell the whole truth..."

"I do, Dude!"

"Dank, would you be kind as to state why you got into Bitcoin?"

"Love is inside all of us. We all need love. And music. That is why I starting the one million band march. To spread love around the world."

"Obviously, you didn't understand the question.

"Obviously, you didn't understand the answer."

Saw that on reddit, great news. We've been walking about the issue for the past few months but this is the first real step to getting rid of the BF.

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.
