Could someone link me a working wallet of this coin?
I've installed the latest binaries/ blockchain, and for the gui wallet, I used the slashed one on the first page. I left it on since 11am in the morning and still hasn't completed the blockchain.

About 2months ago i downloaded the cryptonote gui wallet, everything was fine... i then put my xmr wallet in cold storage... however i decided to update my wallet as i wanted to buy more and trade, however once i downloaded the new update my password seems to be changed
i had saved copies of password on offline drives, however as i tried to open my old wallet with the old and correct password it keeps saying invalid password
am i missing something?
i did the same update of quazarcoin with no issues it worked perfectly
thanks for all your help

Be sure that you are opening the right wallet. Look for all the wallet files on your computer. The old GUI wallet is definitely not working anymore. You must use the normal wallet or the new GUI wallet from Jojatekok. You can open a wallet by opening the key files instead of the bin files. It'll re-scan all transactions.

When you open a wallet you must be sure that you typed the whole name file with the extension like : "wallet.bin" The password cannot change, you may forgot it or it is not the same wallet you try to open.

You can brute-force or do a dictionary attack on it. How many characters exactly ? Did you use numbers ? High capital letters ? Special symbols ?

20 characters long? Best way to hack is to ask FBI and NSA politely to give you all their ressources. I'm afraid you lost your coins. ALWAYS write the password on a paper, on a tatoo, on your ass, on your toilet paper, in your car, in the shower, everywhere if you plan to have a lot of money under a passworded wallet. Nothing worse than loosing your money because you forgot your password. Sometimes it's more risky to activate security than to take the risk being robbed lol. so be very cautious with crypto and password encrypted wallet : write it down, always. and make copy of the wallet.dat in 5 usb stick, all your computers, and in all avaible external drives you might have. Repeat every month. yeah i know i'm paranoid

Unless you know exactly some part of the password. If you know the 12 chars in the middle, it may be possible. But wait, is there a lot of money on it ? Because bruteforce password is not free !

You need to make an application that send password try to simplewallet. Well if you don't know how to code that mean you have to pay someone to do and that could be expensive. ----------- ad : monero.crypto-pool.fr - the best pool - exclusive features - support 24/7 -----------
