Hi everyone!

What wallet version are you using for solomine? All that I have are crashing after some time (looks like when the block is found). It was OK maybe a year ago, but with the new releases - no solomine possible.

d5000 new topic for SlimCoin will be a great start point! Thanks for your work!

"What wallet version are you using for solomine?"

v.0.3.2.1-alpha on windows 7 64 bit. Client downloaded from https://github.com/kryptoslab/slimcoin/releases/

my slimcoin.conf has the following nodes:

addnode=37.187.100.75:41682
addnode=203.20.114.252:41682
addnode=5.9.81.9:41682

also I have "gen=0" so the client does not mine itself but just acts as a server with the -server flag

I launch the gpu miner with the following:

minerd -o http://localhost:41683 -O username:password -t 32

I have an 8 core system and found 32 threads (-t 32) works best for me (should be a multiple of the number of cores you have).

I have messaged with "slimcoin", the original developer. He is currently too busy to be the leading dev again, but has not denied to help with development in the future. Currently I'm waiting for an answer from him if he's willing to update and maintain the links & images on the first page of this ANN thread. If not, I will start the new ANN thread as announced.

Looks like I've found a key to my problem - the 0.3.2.1-alpha crashes on solomine is there is some PoB coins in the wallet and the wallet is doing PoB work. If it's a clean start from zero-wallet - it works without a problem!

Tested on WinXp x64 + gpuminer in CPU-only mode

"What wallet version are you using for solomine?"

addnode=5.9.81.9:41682

I have an 8 core system and found 32 threads (-t 32) works best for me (should be a multiple of the number of cores you have).

I followed your above instructions and seem to be getting some shares registering in the cmd prompt window, but they don't appear in my wallet, so I'm not sure what's wrong. I've never bothered with mining before, but with SLIM it looks worthwhile to try still, but I'm a noob. Also, it looks like my CPU is ding the mining, not my GPU, as my CPU is maxed out. Can you offer any tips?

I finally have got moderator rights at the Slimcoin subreddit: http://reddit.com/r/slimcoin.

I've already started to update the links in the sidebar, except the Pools section.

To the miners here: Is there any of the pools still working (getting errors accessing them via web)? What about the "slimminer" downloads, are they up to date?

I'm preparing some threads for important discussions: a bug report and a feature request thread, thread about how the algorithm should be in the future, etc.

For now I haven't got another response from the original dev, so I'll move forward in the next days and start a new ANN thread here.

If this bug is confirmed, I'll post it as an issue to http://github.com/kryptoslab/slimcoin.
