We could send something, but Goons might be welcome - they were very funny and popular in England and other parts of the Commonwealth.  How about the Knights who say Ni?
To prevent more people from having DI's contact info, if, on 3/7, there's still no resolution, I'm willing to write up a document to his dad on behalf of all of us (will submit it to other lender's prior to sending).

Sounds good to me.

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

inaba and i donated money to his event. i and a few others bought a shirt that we never got. add that stuff to the list, thanks:)
Could you tell me how much you paid (both in BTC and USD using the exchange rate at the time of purchase)? I'll start a list including loans, donations toward an event which is looking like it won't happen, and purchases never fulfilled.

If you'd like, I can also give you DI's personal info, but I'm not willing to give his dad's (which includes much more personal information). Loans include interest, but no "penalties."

Ignore what I said about the USD exchange rate. No way that would hold up in court and it's tedious to try to prove for each individual transaction.

Here's the current list. No other list in this thread should be considered current. Feel free to add to it with transactions you can prove. Alternately, just provide the details needed to fill out the form and I'll do it -- no problem. If lenders want to PM me their names, I'd appreciate it.

My loan was actually at 20 Satoshis interest per second (works out at a bit more than 5% per month). DI incorrectly listed it as 0% interest in his table in the edited OP.

Do you know how much the total amount owed on due date is after interest?

It would have been around 10.41472 BTC (using whole days for interest calculation). Interest is accruing at 0.01728 BTC per day outstanding.

For the record:

Hi, I'm looking for another 150 BTC loan, I have already taken out another loan which is set to be repaid within 2-3 weeks. That is still on-track, however I'd like to take out a second loan designated to finish in 4-5 weeks. I will offer an attractive 18% interest.

The coins will be used for the last phase of sorting things out for my Bitcoin London event which includes flyers, signs and something I will reveal in a couple of weeks.

As for the "trust" issue, some may have, I took out a small loan from Goat and I am genuine with my need for my bitcoin event.
(if you'd like to know, check the link in my sig. Tongue)

If you'd like to lend me the Bitcoins (for a very good cause) use the address bellow and state it was you.

Hmmmm.

Also kojoking7 and rexcoin  logged in after the loans failed... doesnt mean much.
If he would at least respond ..I'm sure he read the thread.

"We are just fools. We insanely believe that we can replace one politician with another and something will really change. The ONLY possible way to achieve change is to change the very system of how government functions. Until we are prepared to do that, suck it up for your future belongs to the madness and corruption of politicians."

Exactly. It rules out the "I forgot" excuse and is a worrying development. The caption under his avatar says "Kill me~". It hasn't happened yet.

Hello!

I've been trying to post with my phone but to no avail.

My old flat had a car crash into it so the last month has been pretty hectic.
Due to this loan repayments are a slight bit behind but I fully intend to pay every single loan back, don't worry.

Though, I didn't appreciate the threats I recieved from one particiular member. I could maybe understand if it was one of the people I had borrowed 50BTC from, but 10BTC and threats like that?
Holy moly.

Sorry if I made anyone worry.

I'd be interested in hearing who that was and how aggressive the threat was. Glad to hear you're okay and still intending to repay.

Any word on the status of Bitcoin London?

If you didn't have a camera readily available at the time of the accident, ask your insurance company! It is part of standard procedure in Great Britain to take photographic evidence of the scene of the accident.

ha ha threat's, that's a good one, I like it how a loan and the guy who loans it says, "Or we will take legal action" and that is construyed as a threat by the one who defaulted ha ha ha ha good one.

Most of my personal loan's here in Guatemala or the states that I do when someone doesn't pay and it's a day past I start sending collection notices threatening just that.  So if your going to borrow money get used to it no matter how little amount it is, you borrow you owe Smiley

Message sent to him on FB:

Quote
I am contacting you today because your loan with me on bitcointalk.org was due yesterday and is now past due and you have defaulted on this loan. I am jfreak53 on the forum, the current amount due is 14BTC and the repayment address is 1P6yMAr2bFyETavQZnCKbn4N1oZeiJtuSp. Please contact me as soon as possible to clear this up, there are other's on the forum that are due also. If these loan's are not cleared up we will have to take legal action. Thank you

Yes I really threatened you my friend Wink, Hmm I just noticed though I did get the amount wrong ha ha

Man if all my people that are past due and defaulted on loans got that nice of a letter from me ha ha ha ha, Kid I do this professionally with actual CASH and lot's of it, so please don't.  You owe people money and you were defaulting, you had logged in many many times, it doesn't take 2 seconds to post a reply to this very long thread and say I'm sorry this is what happened please have patience.  You didn't, so that's what happen's.

ha ha I kinda figured he was talking about me ha ha ha ha

I honestly wish people would just ask and talk when their going to default, they would be very very very surprised how cooperative we are when they are honest.  If he would have simply posted and said what was happening I and everyone else would have said, ok that's fine man no problem.  I would have given him a grace time of a week because of it.  But instead of being honest he disappears.  That's what burns me ha ha  Oh well, we'll see if his post yesterday is honest and he actually comes back and pays back these loans.
