As everyone knows one of the major problems with Bitcoin economy is hoarding. The idea of this poll is to find out whether the lack of spending in the BTC economy is mainly due to the lack of acceptance of Bitcoin payments, or is it that people can actually buy a good deal of stuff that they need with BTC but choose not to.

for now i dont have any bitcoins or any altcoins because i always scammed before this is the sad truth but its is okay for me it gives me a lot of experience and lesson before so if i get a lot of bitcoin i donw want to use this because iknow that bitcoin will going more increase in the future.

I do not use it either, bitcoin is too valuable to spend in useless stuff, I know that some think this is bad for bitcoin since it is not being used as a currency but when you see the high transaction fees and when you see the time it will take one of your transactions to confirm then you get discouraged to use your bitcoin since most of the time the transaction fee is higher than the amount you want to send.

Consider the distribution of bitcoin, and the reasons why different classes of actors would hold.

A. Someone that purchases bitcoin as an investment, from an affluent country. since this is an investment, and not a wage, this person is likely to not spend the coins. they most likely have a different income stream,  that they are using to purchase bitcoin (and will continue to do so as long as we uptrend). is less likely to be a weak hand, especially relative to when they purchased.

B. Someone from a less affluent country that is receiving a bitcoin or cryptocurrency wage. this person is way more likely to convert the bitcoin to a fiat, in order to realize immediate value. they are not incentivized to hold at all, that income stream is required for survival. Is more likely to be a weak hand; sudden devaluation could mean lack of value essential to live.

And to be honest, there is not too much in the way of vital goods that you can purchase with bitcoin. just consumer goods.

I use bitcoin if I really need money, if it does not require then I will still hold bitcoin. So sometimes I use bitcoin for urgent purposes. All depends on the circumstances.

Yes in the start i was using bitcoin for unnecessary things like games and stuff but now i want to hold it for a yea and then i will use it for buying a Car which i dream. as i have some fiat money for daily use i used them but as i am a business student that's why to use by bitcoin for business in the future which will be profitable for me as using of this in respect to now.

I use my butcoin but only sometimes, when I need to buy stuff that I want. I have my regular job, and that is what I use in everyday expences, that is why I only use my bitcoin aometimes, I prefer to save it because bitcoin price is continuously rising and sell it only if I need it. For example is an emergency, I have a money to use.

Yes I'm use my bitcoin. I'm using it when there's an emergency because we don't know when emergency came. I'm also using my bitcoin when I want to buy something and to buy the things that we need. I'm also using this when we are paiding our bills I convert it to real money.

Me too, started using my bitcoins few years back and I was throwing it everywhere i saw bitcoin is accepted here more especially on the online gaming portals. I then moved to buying things with my bitcoins such as digital course, physical products via purse.io, and mining contracts. I guess that was in the fast, now is time to buy more bitcoins, hold them and be serious too because bitcoins are no more piece of coins to play with, bitcoin is now a real deal!

I guess most people are doing it like that, there are just too few ways to spend Bitcoin effectivly, Im looking forward when decentralized marketplaces such as BitBay will be used by many people and one will be able to buy everyday stuff from other Bitcoin users.

No still I am not spending my all bitcoins because I try to save more and more bitcoins and invest other currency that I have because in holding bitcoin is more profitable the reason is that the rate of bitcoin is increasing day by day and in future I can make enough profit in this way.

Yes, but I cannot use it directly. My country doesnt accept bitcoin, so the merchant in my country who accept bitcoin is not much. But its fine for me because I can use my bitcoin by convert it into paper money first, I don't have any choice except this.
