Hoarding is not a problem.
It means that we all agree that bitcoin is not at it's maximum profit yet.

Hoarding is for people who believe that Bitcoin is more of an investment, than a currency. But then again, storing your wealth in Bitcoin can have some advantages, such as protection against inflation.  Grin

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

The problem is that there are every day more people that accept bitcoin as a payment method but very few people that actually spend them.
Most of the shops that accept bitcoin have never sold something in bitcoin.

Most of the Bitcoiners don't know about these shops. If they are located close to some regular meeting place for the Bitcoiners, then they will see a lot more revenue (such as the Bitcoin boulevard in Cleveland). On the otherhand, if some shop in some remote rural village in West Virginia starts to accept Bitcoins, they might have to wait for a few weeks (or even a few months), to get their first coins.  Grin

So even when nobody spends there are more people accepting them!
That really sounds good.

I don't spend I gamble
Because to be quite frank that's the only thing I can do with my BTC

Since I work for a gambling site I'm ok with that Wink, but I'm pretty sure that few years from now we all will be able to do a lot of other things with our btc

I believe it is a strong mix for most people. There is definitely a percentage being hoarded, but we still see transaction coming in on All Things Luxury, therefore some people are definitely spending.

Why NXT and not any other altcoin?

Just coincidence.
Got into crypto world with NXT - a friend send an article about it.
Invested some money in it and started to read BTT ) heh)

NXT was nothing that time (no easy to install wallet, laggy) but seemed like a good investment.
Now it has nice wallet / asset exchange and fast transactions.

It's not a scam. Matt and Riley are great guys. All of their sites, travel, pizza, gifts and hotels have a very small markup compared to similar services.

There aren't any places that accept bitcoin in physical retail locations in my area.   I think these next 3 years is about online adoption and after that bricks and mortar places will start to adopt

I use Gyft to purchase Target gift cards and many other types of cards such as Amazon.
