BTC and NXT are the safest at the moment, and they will stay for sure.

Dark will loose much value, when BTC and NXT will simply add a good dark feature.

One of the storage coins will survive, sia or maidsafe, maybe both.

exo, NEM, etc. have to proove that they are legit, but maxbe they have huge potential.

Ripple, I hate it, but I think it will stay.

And there will be new players.

But the rest will have a very unsure future.

I don't see the appeal of Vertcoin anyways. What, that it's ASIC-resistant? So is X11. The coin doesn't bring anything new as far as I'm aware; it's just another coin trying to fight off ASICs.

It has a base, Shibe is what they call users, everyone gives it away and it spreads constantly-then those people buy so they can be cool too and join the fun community. They are totally all over any legit challenger or coin that tries to copy. They can raise money at the drop the hat. They even have their own funny language for gods sake. They are all over it. They lost their leader, BCNext, but are moving ahead full speed. Just take a look at their official thread and try to tell me it doesn't scream unstoppable. The poor distribution is the only thing that slowed it down. Many investors were freaked out because of the 20 or so initial stakeholders. And no it wasn't 71 in real life lol. Understandably, this scared away many investors and put the brakes on it's ascent. One can only imagine where they would be right now if it wasn't for this. They add on features and innovate as often as Doge pulls marketing stunts. Buy and hold! You will be rich. At this point, it doesn't matter if you are one of its initial whales or not.

Where the Nxt ascent slowed on launch, don't expect this from NEM.
