People with CGRemote can easly remove the pool and adjust the quota on your pool with the API cmds ;]
Yep. It connects to "stratum+tcp://hirop2pool.girino.org:9408" btw.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I tried the mingw version and it works on one box with 2 5xxx cards but no hashrate increase.

On my box with 2 280X the cygwin version works but doesn't show fans/temp. The mingw version gives an error about missing msvcr71.dll. Copying it over from the first box just leads to other missing dll errors. Do I need a library download?

Use new bat file from folder

I'm using the run.bat that came with the download. The missing library isn't in the dlls folder either.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326922

"or Msvcr70.dll or for Msvcr71.dll, you should install the CRT DLL into your application program files directory. You should not install these files into the Windows system directories. For Msvcr80.dll and for Msvcr90.dll, you should install the CRT as Windows side-by-side assemblies."

I also noticed windows is not up to date so I'm installing a bunch of stuff there in case it's that. win 7 64 in case it matters.

http://puu.sh/8XFi9.png

Hash rate on my 6x R9 290s (reference design, all elpida memory, all running stock mem clock and minor core OC at 1000mhz no volt mods, catalyst 14.4):

Original sph-sgminer:  2450kh/s  rejects ~1.5%  watts 415
2% fee miner w/ same config:  3075kh/s  rejects ~1.5%  watts 390
2% fee miner w/ below config:  3725kh/s  rejects ~1.5%  watts 425

Above watt ratings are for the 2 card rig.  Temperatures are still "ice cold" compared to what reference cooler R9 290s do on scrypt.  Not worried about my fan bearings going out trying to keep the cards cool.

Very minimal increase in watts from old sph-sgminer for a big increase in hash rate.  My cards are very underperforming R9 290 cards compared to average and don't OC well at all, so people with better OC will probably be able to get even more hash rate.  For me the main secret was lower intensity to 18.

My config is:  -w 128 -g 2 -v 1 --thread-concurrency 20482 -I 18

Here my first test.
I tried to do it as accurate as i could considering not the shown hashrate but the block solved.

2 rigs with exactly the same config (4x7950)
They were both mining in solo on the same wallet on a low diff coin (one block solved every 2.5 mins approx).

Results after apporx 8 hours of mining:

Rig1 (sph-sgminer)
Blocks solved: 92
Power consumption 450w
Hashrate displayed: 7.2Mh/s

Rig2 (x11-sgminer - donation disabled)
Blocks solved: 103 (+12%)
Power consumption: 480w (+6.7%)
Hashrate displayed: 9.9MH/s (+37.5%)

Going now to do the same test in pool configuration: 2 same rigs, same coin, same pool with prop payout, 2 different accounts to compare earnings.
I'll let you know after approx 8 hours of mining.

It worked for me... I get 1900mhs with one 5870 card.. clocks 880/1250

Im running 5 cards at almost 10mhs total now... Smiley..

oh, and my 5850 is getting about 1500mhs

BUT I did left out the "-g 4" command... with that command... instant crash...

Hi guys

sling00 from the pimp team here.

If you want to run this miner on pimp, here is how to do it:

1. use the 64 bit ubuntu build of the miner download it from page 1 of this thread: direct wget link below.

cd ~
wget https://www.dropbox.com/sh/zhfbr8xh6zw0gi0/AAB3vMZ5JQac9tvNbaI6-5pSa/x11-sgminer-linux-64bit-build1.tgz
tar xvf x11-sgminer-linux-64bit-build1.tgz

2. nano /etc/apt/sources.list

it should have the following line:

# firmware
#deb http://debian.cc.lehigh.edu/debian/ jessie main contrib non-free

uncomment so it looks like this:

# firmware
deb http://debian.cc.lehigh.edu/debian/ jessie main contrib non-free

save the file.  ctrl+x and enter y to save
apt-get update

sudo apt-get -t testing install libc6-dev

once done, the miner will be able to run

then, recomment the line in /etc/apt/sources.list
nano /etc/apt/sources.list
# firmware
#deb http://debian.cc.lehigh.edu/debian/ jessie main contrib non-free

DONT FORGET TO COMMENT THIS BACK OR YOU WILL BREAK YOUR SYSTEM ON apt-get upgrade!

Add the following line to /opt/ifmi/poolmanager.conf, indentation and spacing are very important or you will break poolmanager!
Note: make sure to set the mpath correctly to where you put the sgminer binary!

  9:
    mconfig: X11-Opt
    mopts: --api-listen
    mpath: /root/x11-sgminer-linux-64bit-build1/sgminer
    savepath: /opt/ifmi/cgminer.x11opt.conf

create the /opt/ifmi/cgminer.x11opt.conf from cgminer.x11.conf (cgminer.darkcoin.conf on pre 1.4.2 releases)
cp /opt/ifmi/cgminer.x11.conf /opt/ifmi/cgminer.x11opt.conf

remove or edit the following lines
Remove all pools but one, make sure your syntax is correct and it has no , after its } close bracket
"kernel" : "darkcoin", <- REMOVE no kernel line used with this miner
"thread-concurrency" : "x", <- SET TO 0 or test at your own risk, your old value likely WILL NOT WORK
"gpu-threads" : "1," <- set to 1 or test at your own risk.

CHANGE the worksize line for most cards (this works better on pretty much ALL my cards except the 280x).

"worksize" : "128",
Please stop in #pimp on freenode if you have any questions as i DO NOT check these forums regularly.

Hello

Your miner looks nice can you make one for windows like this please?

will donate

On the 5830 n 5850 cards, mine wasn't any better either, then I changed the - W to 128 instead of 256, and let it write you a new bin file instead of copying the one you've been using... and that upped em about 25%... Really strange I know...

Also for the guy with all the hardware errors, I think this uses more RAM... how much do you have? Might wanna throw another stick in ;-)

Results look good.
How did you go about disabling the donation?

Anyone figure out how to solo mine with this yet? Will the p c 0 thing work? Cuz it just uses his pool to verify blocks, n I can't put in a failover... So... Any ideas to try?
