Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Theymos has stated he'll remove them for people who don't want theirs anymore, but he won't change it. Best PM him but he's usually pretty busy.

Doin' what?! I dunno. Admin and moderation type stuff? I imagine the day-to-day running of this forum is a big task in itself, but maybe that's just an illusion and he's lazy , but I'm inclined to assume the former rather than the latter.

Why can't people have avatars? and when will it be back ? They were disabled due to an exploit and they probably won't be back until the new forum software.

So old members can't manually remove or change our own avatars? Not like I'd want to change mine, just asking. And new members can't add an avatar?
Man this forum has changed so much since I registered. I don't follow up on all these little nuances.

Yes, changing avatar have been blocked since the last hack of this forum. AFAIK, no one is able to change the avatar.

There are no more avatars, you can ask Theymos to remove it, but not change or add it. I can't see your avatar, so I assume he just removed it.
