If you think in terms of "stocks" my guess is that bitcoin is under-valuated regards its market.cap ... when we reach the golden price of 1300 that market cap. was 12 billions .. now we're 6B and bitcoin should worth at least 6 Benjamins ...

I m curious about the reason why "my guess is that bitcoin is under-valuated regards its market.cap" and "bitcoin should worth at least 6 Benjamins". Something to back such wild guessing?

He's just mathematically speaking.

1300/12 = x/6 ; find x ; x = 650$.

But this is assuming that the BTC supply stayed the same from when it was 1,300 to now. At 3,6000 BTC a day (lets assume 5.5 months = 165 days) * 165 days = 594,000 BTC introduced (or so) since then

Seemed like Huobi was hesitant to follow the rally today, but is now only lagging $5 or so behind. Kinda undecided tbh about where we go from here, but 547 sounds optimistic.  Lips sealed

Heard Huobi started this pump followed by BStamp 10min after? Doesn't really matter  Smiley  wouldn't be surprised if the whale team were using both major exchanges.

Around 74,000BTC on Huobi and 30,000BTC on BStamp past 30Hrs.

$547 seems totally possible assuming consistent/increased trading volumes.

I'm hoping this time round we test but don't penetrate $500 barrier and trend towards $430, only because I'm in FIAT  Cheesy

Either way, interesting 2days to follow!

I am all FIAT too.. we need a steep downtrend to refill the btcbank.

I think my chart site is broken...it's been 494 all day.

In fact, I think they're all broken. Even reloading, no change.... broken.

Yesterday I thought it was gonna break 500.  It is a psychological barrier because once it is passed, who know the limits  Shocked

And tomorrow is thursday.  For some reason Thursday (sometimes) are known for crazy things (the thursday dump of 4/11/14, big orders on bitstamp (buy/sell) etc.

This is what I noticed.  It was sub 400 for a while (few days - few weeks) then it crept up to 420 ish and so on.  Maybe it might be a slow upturn, a shot up, back down.  My guess is a slow steady uptrend.

It was sub 400 for few hours only.

I am still short.

But something is odd here..

Definitely being manipulated...

Makes me feel very uncomfortable knowing that people can manipulate the price $50-150 dollars just to wipe out the stops and limit orders.

It seems like the T.A is being abused and then whip sawed to collect and or make money.

BOO WHOO, (I know) I cant really complain as I am trading a crypto currency that could be shaken down to $100 usd or up to $1000 usd in 2-3 days at the will of 10-15 players if they got together and decided to create havoc..

I will keep my short and make the stop limit buy at $505 USD on bitfinex. If i get stopped out FINE, if not then I can ride this down.

However, if this puppy can break $547 USD (bitfinex) with volume I will pick up @ $548 x 200 more..
Mark my words.

Lets see what happens..

I would not touch a short on BTC in this market at all. I have been around BTC long enough to watch many a bitbear go to the slaughter some in spectacular fashion. My favourite bitbear slaughter still remains pirateat40, with his 500,000 BTC or thereabouts short.

I am 100% long on BTC. I can sleep much better that way.

In all my months of bitcoin, I have never seen a post of this nature during a rally Wink

547 later today?

We got up to 528 so far - and now I can't sleep. Scared to.

When it hit 500, or right before, I'd decided things are probably going to hang at 450ish for awhile longer since nothing appeared to be happening, and I'd buy more btc next week or two after my recent purchase comes through from Monday.

And then I happened to be on the chart site when it jumped to 480s and 490s and it hit 500...so I'm glad I bought when I did. Hope it keeps right on going up!

I wish people would invest more time in actually promoting bitcoin than just speculating on the price. These petty rises and falls probably wont matter much in the grander scheme of things. Let's see where the price is at when we've got 100s of merchants daily all across the globe accepting bitcoin.

I was stopped out ....
I will be putting another range of shorts at:

505
500
495
490

Lets see if they will be hit...

Otherwise, now I will wait for $547 to be passed ON VOLUME.

Ahem!

I have shorted at $500 even on bitfinex..

Not a very clever short. When you see these impulse moves in Bitcoin you need to keep away from the short trades. We have had a lesser wave 1, a lesser wave 3, are currently in a corrective 4 and are awaiting a Wave 5 (that means more sharp upside). The wave 4 we are in seems to be a bullish ascending triangle formation just under $500 and it is more likely than not in my view, that there will be another impulsive leg up to mid/lower $500s before any kind of proper correction set in. There is also a good argument for $445 being the starting point of a larger Wave III move. If that turns out to be the case, then short sellers who prove too stubborn to take a loss could end up getting slaughtered. I know, I have been there.

you are currently $5 in the green on your short trade. I would take that if I were you.

And funnily enough....the level  ($550) where you are thinking of going long, is the level where I would be thinking of shorting......with stringent mental stops in place of course........(if I hadn't banned myself from shorting)

Bitfinex victims. DO NOT TOUCH THE BFX TOKEN! Start moving it around, or trading it, and you will be construed as having accepted it as an alternative means of payment to your USD, BTC, etc.
