Could someone explain to me why the posts say "leet" instead of showing the number of posts? o.O

It was actually leet for both 1337 & 1338. I saw both the numbers and leet by refreshing my profile page Wink

AFAIK, Satoshi built this forum and then handed over to Theymos. So this little easter egg maybe an injection of Satoshi too. Probably Theymos can confirm Smiley

I too am very curious if this is in fact a Satoshi egg.

Maybe Satoshi stashed some easter eggs with coins in them around here somewhere too...

That is kind of hard... because it is open source. If it was there, it would have been found within this 5 years ...I guess.

I've been around for not too much and have noticed it before. For non-link clickers, leet (or 1337) means "elite." I can;t say anything about who created the easter egg, though.

OMG! Thanks for explaining guys! I was freaked out a bit I must say. I thought my account was hacked or something. I was keeping reloading and reloading page and there was leet again and again. Then I decided to Google it and that's how I found this topic. )

It brings back memories. I actually considered staying at 1337 posts somehow, e.g. by deleting old posts. Well its a bit too late for that I guess. Off to the next one, right Vod? Smiley

There is actually another easter egg similar to this (if the source hasn't been changed that is), that your posts read 'I'm a geek!!' if you reach 100,000 posts. Source.
