yes bottom. What is burning up tho? cgminer detects it as the lower temp ...

Id bet airflow dead spots at bottom of case maybe? open the side, and put a fan blowing in there for a bit. See if that drops the temp.

yeah and I do have a fan blowing at it with cold air - it's a mesh side panel

I had a junk cooler master PSU that got hot, and had a 5870 sitting in the bottom slot next to it... card was always 10-15c hotter. Try putting a fan in the front of your case blowing air toward the intake of the 5970 (faces the front)... or if your PSU is getting hot, upgrade

I had a junk cooler master PSU that got hot, and had a 5870 sitting in the bottom slot next to it... card was always 10-15c hotter. Try putting a fan in the front of your case blowing air toward the intake of the 5970 (faces the front)... or if your PSU is getting hot, upgrade lame rosewill 1000w for $50 lol --- running great so far ;p
