Good luck Tomi.  Looking forward to seeing DRM up and running again.  Smiley

Hi RataXes, Yes there is some news. I am having a meeting with the FIMKrypto team leader in the following week, they might help us out a bit. What we need is a working multipool, all the current ones are not working. This week I will publish news about the Dreamcoin silver standard + photos. Hold on to your Dreams

The wallet is still out of sync - I have contacted "The Altcoin Guys" to help us get Dreamcoin back on track (http://thealtcoinguys.com) they promised to answer in 24 hours.

Hi all Dreamers, we have now two options, either to join the well build and trust able FIMK community, or rebuild Dreamcoin with the help of the Altcoin guys (http://thealtcoinguys.com)

I have set up a poll, so let's vote

Dreamers options

1. DRMs to FIMK via email (I will set up a site where the trade can be made in 1:1 ratio)

2. We will rebuild DRM (and this time with trust able developers) with the help of Altcoin guys

This vote will be valid until june 24th

- Tomi

ps. FIMK site - http://fimk.fi/en

Hi Tomi,

Glad to see your efforts towards DRM.  Personally, I would like to see DRM make a comeback.  Looking at FIMK, it has a cap of 1billion while DRM is under 2million.  The 1:1 exchange ratio doesn't seem good to me.  Anyways, I voted to restore DRM if possible.  Good luck!

Hi all,
I actually have a couple of questions. First, what would be the DRM/FINK ratio if we switch? I'm also quite concerned about the ratio - we would probably be better off trying to revive the coin, but that would be in the hopes that the crypto coin market goes up again some time. One idea that could be interesting to have in a wallet, would be able to spread important news through the network and that would pop up somewhere directly in the wallet, without people having to go and watch bitcointalk every day. Just my 2 cents.
Second, who would pay the altcoin guys for the revival?
Third, I still can't sync the wallet for weeks now, so that means that the blockchain is dead? Is it even useful to keep the client open right now?
Thanks!
JY.

Hi Jytou,

These are good questions indeed, and here are the answers

1a I can only provide FIMK with 1:1 ration since I do not own enough to provide any other exchange ratio.

1b The idea of email (message service) and crypto wallet IS infact what FIMK is currently aiming at, FIMK is undervalued and very ambitious currency.

2 I will pay the altcoinguys personally

3 We have tried to revive the old Dreamcoin without success, so now it is time to move on

- Tomi (Mathgamain)

Ps. We will continue the developement according to the roadmap once these current issues are solved. Thank you for your patience Dreamers, and remember to vote

Dreamers, the voting is now closed, and the result speaks for itself - we will relaunch Dreamcoin with the help of the Altcoinguys. However, if you wish to exchange your old DRMs to FIMK - I will make it possible as well: a site will be opened for this purpose to http://www.dreamcoin.fi this week. Thank you for voting - let all of our dreams come true.

- Tomi

MyFarm has a great idea which can lead to a great trend.

I would also like to input an idea which could help fund DRM.  I got this idea from the Ronald Mcdonald Dream House Raffle.  Let me know what you guys think about having a monthly/bi monthly Dream Wish raffle. Tickets can only be purchased with DRMs (each ticket is $5 to $10USD worth of drms at current market value) and prizes can be anything from GPU's, Miners, BTC's, DRMs, Gift cards, etc.  It all depends on how many tickets are sold with 5% - 10% taken off the top and put in the development fund.  What do you guys think?  I think it would attract a bunch of people if we had a raffle for like the KNC Titan Miner.  I'd buy a few tickets.  Just a thought. Grin

How did you miss getting screwed over by celevrhash and the never ending story of shipping updates, delays and literal carrot dangling. 10% off? Haha. However, if you was to introduce any raffles it would make you profitable to sell non profitable hardware. If the hardware was profitable, you would mine for yourself until the hardware is no more profitable, then sell the hardware used with "delivery delays" with XX% off.

You're replying to a post that I posted over 1 year ago when cryptocurrency was "somewhat" stable.  Mining "was" profitable back then.  BTC has lost more than half of it's value since then.   Today, it would be much cheaper just to pick up the coins you can afford to take a chance on from an exchange.  Just think of it as penny stocks.   Wink

Anyways, Tomi.  Thanks for the update.  Sounds good and looking forward to seeing DRM back online.   Smiley

Hi Tomi.  Correct me if I'm wrong but are you making a new Dreamcoin?  If so, what will happen to our old DRMs?
