PHOENIX-413 IS LIVE
The 2014 chain just learned to relight itself.
Twelve years ago — May 2014 — Blazecoin's genesis block was struck. The chain has been mined ever since: through the Eruption, the Grind, the Ashes of 2024 (thirty-two silent days — and then one block answered), and into the Rebirth.
Today, at
block 4,194,000, that chain adopted its
first consensus change in twelve years. One precise, provable rule:
PHOENIX-413 — a per-block ASERT difficulty retarget with a half-life of 413 blocks
(413 — the chain's own signature number, its block reward since 2014, now its time constant)
What it does: the old 2014 rule adjusted difficulty every 120 blocks, capped at ±10% — which meant hashrate leaving the chain could strand it for days or weeks. Phoenix-413 recomputes the target
every single block on the settled exponential law (the aserti3-2d form proven on BCH mainnet since 2020), tuned to Blazecoin's constants: 30-second blocks, a 12,390-second half-life. Difficulty now finds its level again within
hours of any hashrate change — in either direction. The fire keeps its own watch.
What it does NOT touch: everything you actually hold.
- Same scrypt(1024,1,1,256) proof-of-work
- Same 30-second blocks, same supply schedule, same halvings
- Same addresses, same wallet files, same 2014 coins with their full provenance

bit-exact against one canonical 45-vector test set on Windows, Linux and macOS before a single block crossed the fork.
MANDATORY UPDATE — Blazecoin V1.5.2Clients older than V1.5.2 (including V1.5.1 and the original 2014 software)
cannot follow the chain past block 4,194,000 — they will simply stop syncing at the fork.
Your coins are safe either way (keys, wallet.dat and transaction format are unchanged), but update to keep your wallet live. V1.5.2 syncs the whole 2014 chain exactly as before, and imports your existing wallet.dat untouched:
