The new I0coin website url is izerocoin.org

Official website:    izerocoin.org
Forum:                izerocoin.org/forum
Wiki:                   izerocoin.org/wiki

I've been working on moving the I0coin website to the new url.  I'll be taking over management of the site from Klazzik.  All content on the website, wiki and forum has been copied.  We're just putting on the final touches.  All the accounts on the forum have been moved to the new site as well, so feel free to use your old accounts.

The old site geti0coin.com won't be updated anymore.  Go to the new site for news, links, wiki and forum posts.

Links at top of this thread are updated with new url.

20,000 I0C Client Upgrade Bounty

We need to move forward on the next version of the i0coin client.  It will bring added security and more potential for developing the i0coin economy.  I'm putting up a 20,000 I0C bounty for this effort with the following criteria to claim the bounty.

1.  Update must bring client up to Bitcoin version 0.9.3 (or later)
2.  OP_RETURN must be set to 80 bytes (to allow financial platform development)
3.  Merge mining must be operational
4.  At least one major merge mining pool must start using client (to prove it works)
5.  Maintain the memory streamlining features of i0coin version 0.8.x to keep memory usage to a minimum
     (memory issue info here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=224744.msg2830598#msg2830598)

There are two new exchanges with i0coin voting.  Please vote if your are an i0coin supporter.  As always with new exchanges we can't know in advance if the exchanges will succeed.  We're just trying to get i0coin more widely traded to reach more investors and users.

Cryptoine exchange:
https://cryptoine.com/voting

Askcoin exchange:

i0coin has risen 750% in two months.  It just poked it's head above $300K market cap today.

We're back up.  I didn't get much feed back from the web host other than there was a spamming issue.  I know it wasn't coming from us.  We did have an issue on the wiki last week so I made it so only admins can update for now.

I'm still working on the spam issue with izerocoin.org.  It's down again.  Apparantly someone created a load of accounts through the wiki and they're sending out spam.  I'll get the site back up as soon as I can.

Meanwhile you can still download clients from the dev site ( http://i0coin.snel.it/ ) if you're new to i0coin.

I0C's price has risen about 300% in the last month. Perhaps I0C provides a good alternative blockchain from which to build decentralised applications akin to counterparty and mastercoin as its network has some of the highest hash rates after Bitcoin.

Perhaps someone's noticed this 'value' and is buying all the coins in advance of launching a service.

Just a thought...

So far so good.  izerocoin.org has been back up for several days with no problems.  I'll wait a bit longer to put the forum and wiki back online.  Those were the source of the spam.  I need to better lock them down.  It's more important to keep the main site up for now.

I've managed to get I0C added to the voting list on Bter.com:

https://bter.com/voting

It's been erroneously added as '10C' not 'I0C', in case you can't find it. I have asked them to change this.

If you're interested please vote it up so that it will be added to their exchange.

I0coin is one of only a few coins rising, out of a sea of falling altcoins... and Bitcoin itself is falling.

So far no one apart from me voted for it on Bter! Please go vote if you are interested. I for one want more places than just Vircurex to trade this currency.

Also the price is going up still... any theories?

I've been trying to vote on Bter, but you need trading points first so I haven't built up enough.
