This seems illogical right? Or are there favorable mathematical conditions owing to the Bitcoin protocol (block halving, hash rates, network rates, etc) every ~6-7 months?

Also bitcoin is going through its growth phases and part of this cycle are these repeating cycles of bubbling to use a word ..

When bitcoin finds its place at a certain acceptance lvl within society then we can start talking and looking at it as a standard commodity ..

We still have a long way to go as we are still in expotential growth patterns as bitcoin starts to layer within our society .. I think we are on bubbling cycle number 3 of 5 or 6 until it starts to settle

So just as the tides go in and out bitcoins long term upward trend can have repeatability

When humans GREED & FEAR responses change deep in the primitive part of the brain (AMIGDALYA) let me know as thios will cause a change in the markets behavioural patterns until then REPEAT

Yeah the writer put some time and effort into it, it's fairly lengthy but worth a read. The bots were just employed to systematically inflate price $1000+ is all. Bitcoins were certainly laundered out of Gox, but it's not clear whether the funds used to acquire them existed.
Think Bitcoiner community are interested past couple days as it's seen as fraudulent manipulation.
