A twist in the plot To further confound us all, the WordPress account that hosted the Willy Report has been “archived or suspended” due to violations of Wordpress terms of service. ^^^The article doesn't say/speculate which "Terms of Service" were violated. I wonder if the author will post it somewhere else soon?

Was WordPress.com's decision justified? Is there something they are trying to hide?
Well seeing as they haven't actually specified why the Willy report was taken down you can't really say it was or wasn't justified. If there is nothing else at play - ie no real breakage of the Wordpress TOS then I would be suspecting some kind of foul play, but realistically I'm not convinced of an affiliation between Gox and Wordpress. Much more likely something went wrong and they took it down.

There must have been a deeper reason (unrelated to all of this) as to why it was done. Who ran Willy Report? Someone should ask them for more information.

it's very odd that it would get taken down for a terms of service violation. has anyone speculated as to what the breach may have been? i racked my brain a bit, and i'm really coming up empty. it's true...why would they possibly care? or... dun dun dun -- who would have pressured them?

Maybe somebody from gox had something to do with this.

Thinking about this more, didn't they link to or hint as to how to get the leaked Gox documents? If so, this could be seen as a liability for WP (being that they could be sued) and that may be what sparked it. Just speculation, obviously.

Should we blame Brock Pierce and Sunlot Holdings secretly working with Mark? ...or... Do you hear the Bitcoin Foundation had the article removed? .......lol?

It's been taken down, but don't worry I've already seen the article get rehosted several times. I'll search for those links, other than the cached from google.

The wordpress TOS is a swamp. Very easy to violate as it's just a bunch of generic rubbish and lots of "rubber rules".

Something I thought odd when the article was published (and I am not saying that this is the reason), David Gilson (the author of the article) is quite a prolific blogger, you can find his blog here;- http://davidgilson.co.uk/blog/Yet if you do a search of his blog ( http://davidgilson.co.uk/?s=willy) nothing. I have been a bit ill of late or I would have done a bit further digging. Neil

Neil I guess, he published it on WordPress because he knew it would be taken down eventually and didn't want, that this influences his blog.

If they got a cease and desist from somebody's lawyer they might've just complied with it without looking into whether it actually violated any terms or not. I would like to know what it apparently violated though.

Given the ongoing civil litigation (and possibly criminal, though nobody will confirm that), there was probably a gag order requested by either side. Most likely, the party requesting it sent a copy signed by a magistrate with jurisdiction (federal) to wordpress. Wordpress is reasonable in taking it down if this was the case. It's not their fight. Let the attorneys scramble all over the web trying to suppress the other sources as well. Makes for an interesting (futile) adventure.
