I removed my coins from the exchange yesterday... how many days do they take to mature so I can stake? Sorry if I missed it earlier.

I have a genuine question, and its absolutely not meant as trolling or what so ever.

Personally I haven't dumped my XC and for now I wont because I have trust in this coin - i think Smiley
But I can't help to wonder how a coin can survey FUD like this, and mostly coming with that massive dumps.
Are there any plans yet? do the DEVs have a certain vision on how to proceed from here?

Its not per say a XC problem, I see it happening a lot.
I'm still quite new to this whole thing - but how can a coin ever be successful (like LTC for example) with all those wa***rs around?

Ok so here is my answer:

We have survived massive dumps in the multipool days, we are recovering from this quite well. Here is what I did yesterday to minimize the fud: https://twitter.com/drasticraven and also my Bitcointalk history. The dev himself offered up a review of the code which to my knowledge is still happening for today. Pizpie calmed the IRC.

Our three principles are:

Privacy.
Innovation.
Transparency.
Which code is it that is being reviewed? No one is disputing that the dev wrote code for a centralized mixer. I want to see code for something that doesn't already exist in a litany of iterations.

Also this still relevant:

OK Ladies and Gents, Let's keep this thread as peaceful and a respectable as possible. No matter what happened today, respect the Darkcoin guys. Most of them stood up for us.

We recovered quickly and efficiently because we work with Facts. I'm sure that I speak for the whole team when I say that we are willing to go the extra mile for you guys.

However we need to move on, everything is fine and we are back to speed. Let's show the world that we have a strong community. Remember discuss ideas/ projects not people.

All the best,

I'm not afraid of the coding, I can read and understand the code and that's not where the problem is or where my worries are.
Its all the stuff that happens around it, the blaming of people, the constant abuse some people seem to get, the blatant lies that people put in, people who are to quick to judge or which don't understand half of what they're saying etc. All in all how would a coin not be affected by that? or in this case, get over that and continue on his previous coarse?

But yea - we do need to move on, ill wait and see what happens Smiley

The XC team has addressed the FUD and we've moved on. The dev is working very hard on coding and I'm feed backing community concerns/ideas as we go. This happens in crypto all the time, there is not a single coin not even Bitcoin (especially not Bitcoin) that hast to deal with fud and quick judging individuals.

As a piece of advice to your community, ask your dev to verify his identity. That's the first step to gaining trust from investors. A Linkedin profile is not sufficient.

It's sad that I have to use my @cinniteam twitter account (which should only be reserved for cinni stuff) to defend XC and atcsecure's credibility.  But after all this FUD I felt that it was the right thing to do.  People need to hear the truth from as many credible witnesses as possible.

I was a programmer years ago.  Some things don't change: when you code, (especially on your own)you try things, test things and comment out (//) what you don't need.  You go down thought paths or want to see what happens to A if I run B with C? Who knows what the developer was testing, experimenting with, etc. that night when played around with those lines.  A big issue with big projects is getting guys to clean up their code; a loosing battle when there's a big deadline and upper management just wants it to work because the VCs want it to work ... You guys code this stuff privately, not in a corporate controlled environment so it is no wonder that the code isn't pristine and perfectly clean.  It seems to work well so far; haven't read/heard anything that says otherwise and the fud spreaders would have jumped on any bugs or issues with both feet already,

Teka It is really bad taste to just remove any post that are questioning the integrity of the coin... This post from the other thread hasn't been fixed and I think it's important to fix this.

In the main.cpp of XC there is this :

https://github.com/atcsecure/X11COIN/commit/6f0428202c17f1ea21cd1b8dab55c025a57375c7

This summit was done 16 hours ago , you can find this

bool CTxOut::IsDust() const
 +{
 +    // FedoraCoin: IsDust() detection disabled, allows any valid dust to be relayed.
 +    // The fees imposed on each dust txo is considered sufficient spam deterrant.
 +    return false;
 +}

now I checked 2 other coins and they don't have this "dust" function from Fedoracoin. Why is it that it is in XC's code and not in BC's ?

Ok, you might not be a programmer so let me explain this.  When you put "//" in front of code it is called commenting it out.  That means it does not run and is not used.

Yes but why would it be in there in the first place if it's from the "ground up" code ? I didn't find this piece of code in any other coin I checked.
