Solo mining RockMiner R-Box

I have a Rockminer R-Box that I'm trying to set-up to solo mine.  The miner works with a pool but I can't get it to solo mine.  I'm
bitcoinQT v9.1 and I keep getting a "waiting for work to be available" from cgminer.  It never gets works after 10-20 min.  I read that the error may be a bug in cgminer.  QT is up to date and 8 connections to network.  Win7 and firewall/security is not causing any issues.

change your port from 8332 to another such as 9000.

I think if you use 8332 as per the standard interface, cgminer might still look to the WWW connections via the wallet...I changed mine to another non-used port and works fine

I have no idea what version of cgminer the fork that supports the R-Box uses but if it's a recent enough cgminer, you need to give it a btc-address as well. At the risk of sounding boringly repetitive - read the readme.
