Technically coins don't really need a dev team if they're up and running solidly. Bitcoin's dev never did anything after the genesis block, and then he disappeared off the face of the Earth.

Dev has obviously gone bye bye. This coin needs a takeover from a legit group of devs and crypto enthusiasts. The goal shouldn't necessarily be to replace the petro dollar (perhaps way in the future this might be feasible) but it can serve as an alternative. Have a debit card system along with OPC to BTC or OPT to fiat point-to-point payment system (directly from the wallet) and it can be done. Just an idea.
