Don't forget mintpal voting.

why? OPEC coin died, DEV gone

A lot of devs r even using this tactic to get very cheap coins- silence for few days- people start dumping (dev- insider buying)- reappear after a few days saying Hey sorry- but I got good news for the coin- and every1 panic buys again.
you never know- can be either way. Smiley)

has anyone messaged the dev to take over.

I've messaged multiple times but no response. I'm happy to take over as caretaker, I'm far from a proficient programmer but I can easily apply patches to address security issues and keep the coins PoS targets inline.

You were warned 2 weeks ago!
So how many caught the Veritrain?
Probably none because you all were stoned from sniffing petrol like your dev.

Excellent and thank you so much for your warning. You have been a true hero to our community and your services are no longer required from this point forward. Please rest assured that your hard work and valiant effort are most appreciated (for me to poop on!)! /s

well hopefully the dev will reply when he's back online.  Wink

Indeed! As a side note, if we do get this cleanly handed over, I would personally like to see any pre-mine funds managed by a trusted 3rd party fund manager ( exchange or the like ), does anyone have any recommendations as to how we might handle this ?

I dont think anyone would have invested anything in this coin . Me myself , few 10,000 coins which i got in POW stage in an hour through mining and kept it as trial and error method ! And sold it at the start date of POS stage in Bittrex and bought something else really low price Tongue (Cant say the name of the coin Tongue)!  I keep all coins at launch or at start stage of POW but not more than an hour of hash power to that coin !  Grin Tongue But i only collect POW + POS coins only , so that i can sell it at POS stage Tongue

I think even for a take over , original devs must be found and contacted and he should be willing for it otherwise take over cant happen if you really thinking about it friend  Roll Eyes!

My thoughts :- Every coin starts with a goal ! Takeover i think take place only when original devs tried and failed for that goal and the dev's taking over thinks he can do it succesfully or in better way to reach that goal ! So taking over Dev thinks they can fulfill the goal better ? If no goal then whats the use of coins and if goal kept changing then who would trust the coin ?  Roll Eyes

If the Dev vanishes, the coin in ultimately in the hands of it's community as they are effectively the coins investors. In a sense this kind of move might be considered a hostile takeover but may ultimately be necessary.

This coin already has it's future set out and personally I believe its goals can be achieved. We have a great deal of innovation taking place in the open source alternative cryptocurrency movement that can in future be adopted and incorporated within OPEC Coin as the community sees fit. Without someone steering the ship, this coin would be nothing more than a ghost rig on floating on the Sea diminishing returns.

Personally I have a family and am in-between jobs so have very little free time to commit to procuring innovation and thus would like to offer my services as caretaker until such time as someone else with more resources can step in, take control & continue the ultimate OPEC Coin journey.

I don't want the pre-mine balance handed off to me, I would like to see it in the hands of a reputable vendor or escrow agent that can distribute the coin as originally planned.
