He's practically asking you to send him to jail.  Do it, report him.  Worst case scenario could be that he makes good on his promise; never know with people these days.

With that sort of threat I don't think you have a choice but to report it.

i see this as just drama trolling on a forum and that people have better things to do in real life and i think that the police wont do anything about it. if something happened whether the police are informed or not, they can atleast see this forum to see who the suspect is.

the police wont do any 24 hour protection, nor would they do any contacting with other state police departments or other authorities to identify AMT to prevent anything.. so what is the point.

the best bet is to flashmob many blogs and forums to highlight AMT's shady practices.

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

You're exaggerating again. He's not threatening to kill you. He's only threatening to break your arms and/or fingers.
Maybe he isn't threatening to break anything.  Maybe he is just threatening to glue his fingers with Super Glue.

Serious question, folks: Should I notify the authorities?
Yes, absolutely, without any doubt.

In our world, there is a zero-sum game between reason and violence. When violence thrives, reason is diminished. As reason grows, violence is diminished.

If you want your children and grandchildren to live in a world governed by reason, you must do everything in your power to stop violence - including threats.

This is 2014. Here in gun-obsessed America, our teens acquire guns and use them to kill people all the time. Sadly. I wouldn't take the chance if it was my safety being threatened.

Then again, no one I know has been stupid enough to threaten me.

I'm sure the threat wasnt serious and was just made to scare you. If you feel it was serious report him.

It's amazing how many tough guys there are on the internet. Luckily I have family in law enforcement so if anyone threatens me it is very easy to pursue!

Yes, but the police are probably less likely to do anything about it.

I've had some experience with this, you don't report this kind of stuff so the police will do anything about it, you report so you can establish a history in case something does happen. If you are ever involved in an incident, and need to defend yourself in court, or in an investigation, being able to produce a history that's already on the record is invaluable to be able to show that you did fear injury or death.

Yes Bruno you should report it, it won't take long.

fwiw I heard about AMT due to some pennsylvania or delaware local news headline about some mining company not delivering and a district court case

so I'd say AMT Miners anger/threats are misdirected, if anything.

One scenario would be that some other knocks me off, whereupon Joshua Zipkin would get the blame, of which has a Weiss in family.

You should report it to the police. It is not serious now, but it could get ugly. In the bitcoin world, he could very easily transfer a few bitcoins and have you "hurt" within seconds. You could in return find his address, which you seemed to do so well too, and send him a bouquet of flowers Cool

He looked at it, and there were witnesses, it's enough. Ad we have recorded the majority of the conversation as well. Should be enough to sue for damages of business and a few other fun things. But we're considering going a different route in the mean time.

Agree with this guy. The Police will most likely put you under surveillance. And if anything happens, the obvious is stated. Should also DoX him, to get leverage over 'em.
