Flux - [FLX]

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                      <--SPECIFICATIONS

Generation: Proof-of-Work
Proof-of-Work Algorithm: SHA-3 "Keccak" Hashing
Block Interval: 30 Seconds
Difficulty Retarget: Every Block with Flux "Antimatter" Vortex (Details below)
Maximum Units: None (Inflationary)
Expected Flux in 10 years: 5 Billions
Block Subsidy Schedule: See Below
Premine: 0% (0.00 FLX)
P2P: 7970
RPC: 7971

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                      <--SUBSIDY SCHEDULE

The Flux Foundation wants to make the launch of flux as fair as possible. We wish to avoid 'instamine' and make sure the early bird doesn't get all the worms. In addition to the small initial subsidy Flux will have modified bitcoin retargets for the first 120 blocks. This will ensure that the difficulty prevents much of a instamine.

Block 0: 0 FLX
Block 1 - 5000: Subsidy increases 0.2 every block until it reaches 1000. This period will take ~2 days
Block 5000 - 10005000: Subsidy will decrease 0.0001 FLX until it reaches zero.
Block 10005000 - 11005000: Subsidy will increase 100 sparks (0.000001 FLX) every block
Block 11005000+: 0.2% Yearly inflation will be maintained.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                      <--FLUX "ANTIMATTER" VORTEX

The Flux Antimatter Vortex Algorithm, or just the vortex is a algorithm designed to replace the famed Kimoto Gravity Well. It allows for quick block-by-block difficulty adjustments by taking a weighted average of the past 11 blocks. This ensures that the previous block does not result in a radical difficulty change while enabling over 3x hashrate increases to be mitigated over the course of a few blocks. The vortex is designed to be immune to 'timewarp' attacks.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                      <--WALLET FEATURES

The Flux Wallet will have inbuilt mining support, a statistics page, and a block explorer. Code courtesy of FoxCoin.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                      <--FLUX STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

We have decided to create flux because we believe in cryptocurrency as a form of money. Flux is designed to be fair from the get-go with early adopters not amassing a huge amount of Flux. This helps mitigate the 'flash in the pan' syndrome of many 'altcoins' - where as soon as it gets on the market there is a huge sell-off and the currency is left with no value. The goal of any currency launch is to get as many different people units of the currency as possible. Flux is designed to allow this to happen by giving ample time for people to participate and begin mining. The block subsidy will decrease in such away that it allows plenty of time for Flux to be come known to the public before the subsidy even so much as halves.

Flux utilizes SHA-3 "Keccak" hashing as it currently has no Aplication-Specific Dedicated mining equipment developed for it but has full miner support across all major platforms for both CPU and GPU. In combination with the Flux Vortex, we believe this will be an ample combination to keep the generation of flux both decentralized and consistent.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                      <--WHY INFLATIONARY?

We believe that the small amount of inflation provided by Flux (0.2%) Will be healthy for it as a medium for exchange. This inflation will help keep the value stable and will prevent a 'deflationary spiral' without causing large inflation resulting in the opposite. The increased subsidy will also provide a more worthwhile incentive to mine Flux and secure the network in higher difficulties.

At last!  Cheesy Let's hope after all this wait it'll be worth it

No premine, No IPO and SHA-3 - Be interesting to see how AMV works.

Many coins launches like that. And I remember only 2 which causes bad gateway - CatCoin and MaxCoin.
We will have passworded zip files 1 hour before launch.

Please contact or add more pools to list, https://flx.hardcoreminers.com/ lags and can not register now

Yes hold on, uploading new theme and there was a SSL issue since this morning.

OK FIXED: Please browse here: http://flx.hardcoreminers.com/

Thanks, It's faster

cgminer will not lower the vddc settings by itself. I do that externally using ASUS GPU Tweak. I own an ASUS R9 280x-dc2t.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

MingoPool is a scam!

Search the 365coin thread for "mingopool", TONS of complaints.   He stole 0.38 365 from me.  On the day I discovered it that amount was worth USD$352 !  Other complaints of him using miners credentials on other pools and changing the payout address.  Stupid to reuse credentials, but still NOT COOL! It's amazing the pool ops can screw over the community and continue operating under the same name.

From his site: "We recompiled the cpu and gpu miners with a few fixes for our stratum. They will improve your hashrate 5% ~ 30% depending your hardware."  How much do want to bet that if you run his binary next to your wallet that your coins will mysteriously go missing.

No I simply updated git with the source. No new content to what was released on launch. Sorry for the alarm.

Flux - [FLX]

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                      <--SPECIFICATIONS

Generation: Proof-of-Work
Proof-of-Work Algorithm: SHA-3 "Keccak" Hashing
Block Interval: 30 Seconds
Difficulty Retarget: Every Block with Flux "Antimatter" Vortex (Details below)
Maximum Units: None (Inflationary)
Expected Flux in 10 years: 5 Billions
Block Subsidy Schedule: See Below
Premine: 0% (0.00 FLX)
P2P: 7970
RPC: 7971

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                      <--SUBSIDY SCHEDULE

The Flux Foundation wants to make the launch of flux as fair as possible. We wish to avoid 'instamine' and make sure the early bird doesn't get all the worms. In addition to the small initial subsidy Flux will have modified bitcoin retargets for the first 120 blocks. This will ensure that the difficulty prevents much of a instamine.

Block 0: 0 FLX
Block 1 - 5000: Subsidy increases 0.2 every block until it reaches 1000. This period will take ~2 days
Block 5000 - 10005000: Subsidy will decrease 0.0001 FLX until it reaches zero.
Block 10005000 - 11005000: Subsidy will increase 100 sparks (0.000001 FLX) every block
Block 11005000+: 0.2% Yearly inflation will be maintained.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                      <--FLUX "ANTIMATTER" VORTEX

The Flux Antimatter Vortex Algorithm, or just the vortex is a algorithm designed to replace the famed Kimoto Gravity Well. It allows for quick block-by-block difficulty adjustments by taking a weighted average of the past 11 blocks. This ensures that the previous block does not result in a radical difficulty change while enabling over 3x hashrate increases to be mitigated over the course of a few blocks. The vortex is designed to be immune to 'timewarp' attacks.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                      <--WALLET FEATURES

The Flux Wallet will have inbuilt mining support, a statistics page, and a block explorer. Code courtesy of FoxCoin.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                      <--FLUX STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

We have decided to create flux because we believe in cryptocurrency as a form of money. Flux is designed to be fair from the get-go with early adopters not amassing a huge amount of Flux. This helps mitigate the 'flash in the pan' syndrome of many 'altcoins' - where as soon as it gets on the market there is a huge sell-off and the currency is left with no value. The goal of any currency launch is to get as many different people units of the currency as possible. Flux is designed to allow this to happen by giving ample time for people to participate and begin mining. The block subsidy will decrease in such away that it allows plenty of time for Flux to be come known to the public before the subsidy even so much as halves.

Flux utilizes SHA-3 "Keccak" hashing as it currently has no Aplication-Specific Dedicated mining equipment developed for it but has full miner support across all major platforms for both CPU and GPU. In combination with the Flux Vortex, we believe this will be an ample combination to keep the generation of flux both decentralized and consistent.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                      <--WHY INFLATIONARY?

We believe that the small amount of inflation provided by Flux (0.2%) Will be healthy for it as a medium for exchange. This inflation will help keep the value stable and will prevent a 'deflationary spiral' without causing large inflation resulting in the opposite. The increased subsidy will also provide a more worthwhile incentive to mine Flux and secure the network in higher difficulties.

And for localhost use 127.0.0.1 /you have 127.0.0.0

Yea rig & wallet = same machine in my case.

I changed 127.0.0.0 to 127.0.0.1 I will change the port & give it a go.. thanks.

Im pretty sure im connected to the wallet now..Ill let it run a bit n see if I catch a block..kind of doubt it with diff so high..we'll see...if not..back to the pool I'll go

Hmm All I keep getting is this:

And This 'share above target'

Dev? Where are you?
You had a nice launch, wallet is cool, buy you disappeared now...? Come on, future plans, activities, additional exchanges...? Shall we donate to Flux bounties fund or something (since there was no premine)?

cant sync Angry any addnode?

Open debug window and type this  "addnode 54.186.99.245 onetry" without the quotes (that will sync it up until you close it).

Here are the 3 nodes that the dev gave me for the .conf file.

addnode=54.186.99.245
addnode=198.50.219.220
addnode=91.105.118.171

Dev is still sleeping I think.  According to our chat he/she (irc name is confusing lol) was on like 3 hours of sleep in the last 3 days.  I know he/she is mining for bounties/giveaways on his/her own.  Hopefully it is enough to cover everything.  I'd be happy to donate some coins towards a bounty also if needed.

Tough to answer that.  I've seen coins with <1000 total coins flop and coins >100 million thrive.

we need to start making some volume ,,,,

sell half your stock ,,, then buy it back at the same price you sold it ,,,, you will only lose 0.1% with the fee ,,, but you still get 99.9%

then when the volume start and more ppl start trading it ,,, you remaining 50% of coin will be worth some thing

or do you all want to hold thousands of worthless coin

MingoPool is a scam!

Sorry to keep posting, but after being screwed over by this guy it's now my duty to follow all his posts with a warning so that other people don't fall for his trap.

The fork was in early April.  We didn't start having problems until two weeks later.  Why did you tell me in IRC on April 30th that my coins were safe and I should keep mining.  Why did you tell everyone in the thread that our coins were safe and you just needed to fix the UI?  Why did you drag us along for a week claiming that all coins would be paid out on May 2nd, and when the day came along you wiped out our balances?  Why did you have fake miners posted on your site for weeks?  Why did you accept new miners after you were aware of the problems?  Why did people have the same problems as recently as May 22nd when the big issue occurred a month ago?  Why do you think you can scam the community and get away with it?  Not while I'm here.  I will follow you forever and not allow you to screw us over again, that's a promise.

Friends, be warned.  This is a DISHONEST POOL OPERATOR, everything will seem fine for a while, until he ramps up the fees to 50% without telling anyone, or finds some other way to screw you over.  With many great pools to choose from don't waste your time with a known thief.

BUY AND SELL

we need some volume ,,, buy and sell the same coin ,,, it only 0.15% fee ,,,, if we buy and sell 1 BTC  100 time ,,, we ill have more volume then most coin out there

yea we will lose 30% (0.15% buy +0.15 sell x 100) 0.3 BTC

but if you have 10,000 FLUX and get it to 0.00003000 BTC you will make ur money back easy

other wise ,, were all going to own million of shit worthless coin

THIS ACCOUNT WAS HACK > SORRY FOR ANY ONE THAT HAS DEALT WITH THIS ACCOUNT.

I have updated wallet Flux-QT 1.0b, but it is v1.0.0.0-g-beta like older one.

After block 22000 forked - diff 0.000244, solomining all blocks

Tried to delete blockchain and synchronize again, but still wrong fork. Can somebody post correct nodes to synchronize?

Or is this coin really dead?.

I tried flux.pool.mn node, and it is work, BUT the sync stopped at block no. 22001. Few minutes later my wallet connected to other wallet which are on wrong fork :-(

(Furtunately,) I saved the blockchain at block no. 22001. After that I tried lot of nodes from this forum, but everything caused the above mentioned "switching to wrong fork" issue :-(

It seems, we have to wait for the dev or a workable node...

Are pool.mn and hardcoreminers on the wrong blockchain? Maybe they didn't updated to new wallet.

Any update to this. Same issue with the wallet.

Or is it time to abandon this coin? This is like the 4th coin the last couple of weeks to fork and the dev is no sight to be seen.

I am showing block 40,558 in my wallet

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

It's normal, because the pools and the windows wallets are on the different blockchains. This coin have forked for 2-3 days (minimum).

So I just went over to hardcoreminers, and they're still mining Flux...what the shit is going on here?!

You should read the oficial thread of CateDoge. Currently somenthing similar happens here. Only two pools where mining CateDoge (coincidence): Hardcoreminers and Pool.MN.

When no nodes available and people could not update, and not mine, Hardcoreminers was (solo) mining CateDoge for weeks; personally I wrote an email asking for help to sync wallets, but hardcoreminers did not collaborate and their node was not visible UNTIL they had a huge chunk of coins. Now CateDoge is alive but nearly 100% hasrate is from hardcoreminers.

Previosly, Pool.MN publically and in advance refused to update its wallet for a mandatory fork; subsequently, when mining the wrong chain Pol.MN blamed the dev.

Maseo: "What are you changing at the hardfork? Because changing or hardforking might need to lead to adjusting the p2pool, if it's gonna work. Or i'll wait UNTILL the hardfork.."

The hardfork was well publised in OP and in several posts.

http://gyazo.com/339f65238957d8c135791df301c4c55d

I have been SOLO mining FLUX from the beginning because I dont want to use neither Hardcoreminers nor Pool.mn again .

Both pools are on the wrong chain, they did not update their wallets and they pretend we ditch the best chain and our wallets in order to save their ass.

So I don't understand who would be on the wrong blockchain.  My wallet is currently at around 43,524.  Pool.mn is on the same block.  Up until the other day, I have been able to deposit and withdraw at Allcoin.  So where is the breakdown?  I know it's probably true that the coin is dead, but shit, it seems like it's dying for no apparent reason.

Holy shit!  That has got to be the original blockchain.  I'm running the Linux client compiled straight from Github.

I am running Xubuntu 14.04 so you will probably have different versions of the libs.  Best bet is to compile:

#Install prereqs:
sudo apt-get install qt4-qmake libqt4-dev build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev \
        libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev \
        libssl-dev libdb++-dev libminiupnpc-dev crypto++

#clone the Git repo:
git clone https://github.com/Fluxworth/Flux.git

#enter the newly cloned Flux source directory
cd Flux

#fix the permissions on on the leveldb build script
chmod +x src/leveldb/build_detect_platform

#compile
qmake
make

#After a few minutes of compiling, you should have a newly created Flux-QT executable which you can start:
./Flux-QT &

In the event you have problems compiling (like I'm having with the latest Git clone), here is a tarball of my source dir.  You should be able to just cd into it and run "qmake && make"

100k? Everybody can min 100k Flux within 1 hour + there are minimum two blockchains now. The longest for windows wallets, the shortest for pool. What is the right?

So, It seems, this coin is died...

So, no reactions at all here? Should we just delete the wallets, forget about it and carry on? Is there any hope that issues will be fixeD?
