Corsairs seem to work for me with no problems - 500 is enough even overclocked.

You want the cx600m, since it's modular. Don't need unnecessary spaghetti wires that aren't connected to anything. |

I also use CX Corsairs, but 750's and 2 of those will power 3 Ant S1's just fine.
Been running for about 4 months without a problem in this configuration and no PSU
burned up or needs replacement. All S1's overclocked at 387Mhz doing about 195 GH/s average each.
OCZ would be alright too, but stay away from Thermaltake.
Don't buy cheap PSU's for Ant's, spend the little extra needed, it's worth it....

Are you planning on purchasing more in the future? Do you want a single PSU to power more than one S1, or do you want individual PSUs for each?
If you're just going to have the one S1, then the CX600 is plenty powerful enough. If you're going to run 2 off the same PSU, I use the HX1050. Others have had success using as little as a CX750 to power both, but that's a bit too risky for my taste. Want to power 3 off a single PSU? You could probably get away with the AX1200i, or the EVGA G2 1300. Or you could do as some have done and use 2 CX750s to power the 3.

I am using XFX| PRO550W XFX TS 550W RTL for 1 OC S1. It's up and running smooth from last 4 months. No downtime, no noise.

I found a much better type of PSU for ANTminer S1, ATX power supplies are distributed into multiple branches (12V, 5V, 3.3V), fail to provide all power to 12V. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817377050http://www.pcicase.co.uk/upload/file_637_519.pdfI bought a faulty supply Supermicro PWS-1K41F-1R, which I repaired and working. The source is very effective, certification 80plus Gold! Power 1400W with reserve powers 3 Miners. I own 2 Miner, the PSU stays cold. how did you break out the wires? it is 1200 watts on 120 volts . but it is a decent psu may not run 3 s-1s on 120 volt over clocked to 393 freq. or it may. |

I added wires, using soldering. I have a 230V so 1400W power. This is not the peak value (as some manufacturers write on ATX PSU) is a permanent power source and can give high-160A, I have both overclocked to 393 freq, I had to then measure consumption, did not exceed 1400W or decrease freq. |

I ran 5 Antminer S1's on 2 Corsair RM1000 (Rated for 1000W continuous load) and each were overclocked and running at 200GH/s

i would say xfx pro edition is the best
i dunno if its just me but i have a very hard time to corsair ax1200i because it cant run the two s1 antminer units it will run for about 10 mins then it will automatically shut down i have been running back and forth to the shop to figured out the problems and they are also replacing the units but it will end up with the same problem so i just decide to get a one unit of xfx pro edition and one seasonic platinum which is run nice with the s1

are you throwing a 5v load on the corsair? I'm pretty sure those need a load on the 5v rail or they will shutdown like you describe. |
