it's a 0.5% premine spread over the life of pow.  it's not a bad thing for the dev to get paid.  programmers work their asses off.

And why? It is posted in op so you can't call it hidden.
It is not a huge amount when coin starts and dev could dump a lot.
This thype of dev compensation is used in many coins.

I am Solo mining, not paid too when i find a block.  Sad
