blockchain.info does go down some times but not very often its pretty reliable and the uptime must be near 99%.

Yes, also it is possibly the best linked node there is. There are times when it has >900 connections!
Blockchiain.info is likely the most reliable "supernode" out there and the most reliable block explorers. It is very user friendly, however you can change settings to give you more "advanced" information if you need it. It also has a lot of useful information that can be useful to both the casual user and the "dev"

Quiet true. Blockchain.info is the reason for which we got to be aware of the 51% reach of GHash.io. Its really the Bitcoin Google.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

When you check an address balance or a transaction status online, which block explorer do you use ? If you run a service depending on a third party API, which block explorer's API you rely upon ?

blockchain.info
i think this is the best right now
you can try it ...

Blockchain.info is my pick. I didn't actually know there were other good explorers out there for Bitcoin, but after reading this, some of the others looks well designed.

Due to an article that BitcoinTalk didn't like that I wrote on CCN, my account is banned. Theymos refuses to reply to my request for hearing his side of the story instead of banning my account. Please sign my petition to get Theymos to unban my account. Thank you.

I use both blockchain.info and blockr.io.
They both provide the hex raw transaction and allow me to push my raw transaction.

It seems that there is a new one on the block. It is www.BlockTrail.com. I was just reading about it on CoinDesk...

...seems promising.

I switched to blockr.io a few months ago, after having some problems with blockchain.info, and I am very happy with the change. Smiley

Probably because they are the oldest one after theymos's BlockExplorer.com

U might like to give a shot to...

1. www.BlockTrail.com

2. www.BitEasy.com

Both are very neatly designed and informative Smiley

Update: I'm listing out the outcome of this thread here...

1. https://blockchain.info/

2. https://blockr.io/

3. https://blockexplorer.com/

4. https://www.biteasy.com/

5. https://chain.so/btc

6. https://helloblock.io/

7. http://bitcoinchain.com/block_explorer

8. https://bkchain.org/btc

9. http://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/

10. http://www.blocktrail.com

blockchain.info has always been easier for me to use. the other ones honestly do not do that good of a job keeping things simple or clear.

I started using blockchain.info long time ago and later switched to blockr.io.
But now, I have switched back to blockchain.info after discovering the email notification feature. Smiley

I use blockchain.info and blockr.io
Blockchain is more intuitive and easy to use while blockr.io is more reliable in updating

I primarily use Blockchain.info most of the time, for transaction checking, mining pool distribution, charts, and other assorted info.  This site seems to get the most support from the Bitcoin community, and well spoken Bitcoin figurehead Andreas Antonopolous actually works for them as Chief Security Officer.

I think Blockchain.info suffered some severe slowness a little while ago with unconfirmed transactions, so I use blockr.IO as a backup if Blockchain.info is down.
