300mega per ip, is still too high, you should lower to 100mh/s(100 mega are like 5-6 rig of 750ti already, with the new update, dunno about you but 5+ rig is already a farm)

if you really implement that hash limit i don't see the point of a short-time pow

why would you need standard pools? You will lose more then you will benefit if the coin source released during POW stage. Asics will flood in, big farms and rentals will flood in and dump coins right away. Average miner gets nothing. Not to mention pools that charge you up to 2% fee for nothing on top of the premine that is needed for coin promotions. Why all coins are crap now? Because of unfair distribution. Distribution of Minerals going to be fair. We are setting up abe block explorer to be totally transparent from the start

Your "charge" could be way higher than 2% with all your phantom miners.

Yeah, 300 mh/s on x11 is still quite a bit imo. My current set up yields about 35 MH/s and it was a $5k investment. Someone would have to invest 10x more ($50k+) to achieve 300 MH/s on x11.

It is obvious that there is no system that is perfect that is why we will be constantly monitoring all pools and look for any abnormal behavior.
Pool statistics is public, I don't understand how could anyone introduce these "phantom" miners without being noticed.

I've received some not so pleasant PMs saying that not allowing solo mining and rented rigs is bad and is scam - I think we all know what is happening with coins mined by big farms and rented rigs and this is exactly the reason why we want to exclude these miners from our coin. At the end of the day it is the small miner that is being hurt and Minerals is trying to avoid this.

I like your coin. I am a small time hobbyist miner, with no more than 40 MH/s (x11) in my operation.  Most coins that are released nowadays are usually instantly mined by large mining farms and then immediately dumped as soon as the coin hits an exchange. This dumping stunts the growth of any new coin and kills off any potential it may have. Hopefully your design to limit hashrate per miner/worker will be effective. How many times have you seen a single pool having more than 50% of the network and sometimes even 80%? I've seen this multiple times, especially lately. Monopoly is there so why not have one that benefits the coin and the community rather than pool operators who will dump the coin?

I agree with 100MH limit. I wouldn't mind if you lowered it to 50MH honestly. Either way I'm a big fan of SC and I like your efforts to keep this out of mining farms or greedy pool owners hands. Definitely interested.
