Sadly there is another gold backed coin far ahead of GoldReserve. Have a look at MidasCoin. It started long after XGR but is far ahead and is well priced.

MidasCoin is based, and on other things, on script mining which sucks!

Look at how well Magicoin is doing because it is script and ASIC resistant.

They also have a pyramid system in place for mining which is illegal in business.

I do not think the business model for MidasCoin is going to appeal to the masses.

Well, I just read that midascoin got forked, because of a concentrated attack. If a coin is that easily ruined even if it was only for a short time then the code is not strong enough or the pool distribution is not well planned.

But if you think that coin is a long time winner then you have to invest in it of course.

GoldReserve is sleeping a bit now, but behind the scenes hard working individuals creating the promised new improvements. What I have to point it out is, please check Guldencoin (NLG). That coin started in april, was low on volume and hashpower, then in august it rised from 87 sat to 1000!!! Why, because the developers worked hard to reach merchants, to convince people to use Guldencoin! Then all of the sudden they steped forward and voila! Their sleeping coin is famous again!

My development plans take time, it is Europe, people have to have a job and work overtime in a project like this, so investors need some patient, but I can assure everyone that this coin will be a success in long term!

So on the irc channel there is noone, i would dump xgr, but at that price is just insane to do that.
We didnt buy gold last weeks because of the low price, now its even lower, i just fucked up my 2 btcs, i can get 0.23 if i dump now, niceee

The prob is: XGR seems not to be interesting for pump groups, that why the price is low and stable. But maybe that's good for now.

Hi Rogovila! I am really sorry that you got XGR at a higher price. Unfortunatelly XGR is not a pump and dump coin, there are no high pump prices at the moment. If you want to dump your coins, you can do that with a loss. But if you need that 0.23 BTC then you have no choise but to do that. Or, if you have a bit patience, then you will have a nice return on your investment. (one thing is bother me, price is 170 sat now, when did you buy the coins if you spent 2 BTC and that is now 0,23 BTC???)

At the moment, we are working on a new, improved functional wallet as well as an android, iPhone, WindowsPhone implementation. We had some suggestions for the extra functions of the wallet so we are planning to do that as well. Later, we will have a closed market only for XGR which will work as the assured buyback market, there will be a 24/7 buywall at the minimum buyback price.
During that time, we may be able to solve the limited premine, limited gold buying opportunity problem, which means we will implement a system which will be able to create BTC (infinitely) so gold can be bought after the premine is sold.
These are the things we are working on!

We don't need a new (unknown) exchange. We need Bittrex, Mintpal or some other well established exchange.

The premine will go 100% into gold (this is what nobody understands). But it's ok to have concerns.

I understand your concerns, but you have to understand that the irc channel is there, but no one using it. I have a life out of my computer so I am travelling every day from A to B then B to A, I have a job I have to maintain, so I can not be on irc channel all the time, chatting all day long. I am checking this forum many times a day, so I can answer to any question asked.
