Gonna see if I can butcher something together at work today for play time over the weekend.

Same thing, client won't work. Do you have any info that shows timestamp?  I have been playing around with the time on my computer, moving it ahead, backwards that sort of thing.. I was doing this too the last time my client got messed up.

It looks like this is a different bug than the -1 confirmations thing. In fact I see no evidence of any problems in the log. Can you describe in greater detail the symptoms?

After about 1.5hrs of sending out one txs at 5secs apart and moving the clock on my computer forward and back the client became very slow to respond. No matter what command i gave it it would take 2 to 3 mins to respond, my txs were still going through but they were taking longer then 5 secs. A restart of the client did not help. Deleted the chain and once the chain was loaded typed in a command and it was the samething. Toda Today i started with clean chain and wallet and sent out one txs at 5 secs, i ran it for two hrs with no problems (i didn't touch the time on my computer )

One of the big questions I haven't seen addressed on this is, was this started as a project to create an alt coin, or to integrate into BTC itself.

There are some more details here but not much, looks like a new coin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=643758.100

The idea for the mini-blockchain sort of started off as a plan for compressing the bitcoin blockchain but it became clear to me that we'd have to make a new coin if we really wanted to get the maximum level of compression, because we have to forget about using scripts and instead use a "balance sheet" type of format for maintaining address balances. So when a transaction is made all it needs as an input is a non-empty address, there is no such thing as spent or unspent outputs, and that's why we're able to discard old transactions.

New file at http://gpile.it/files/cryptonited MD5 45594da94594f0a396582e61ddfbb871

This implements the fabled "headers-first" synchronization designed by some bitcoin folk. Old block database is no good so you'll have to delete that/the whole folder. Probably some bugs left. Hopefully will sync for you and run.

Mrvegad I will be looking into why your wallet causes extreme slowness. There is hope.

Using the new build, downloaded fine the only thing I noticed was at the end of the chain download my client was unresponsive for about 5 mins, the harddrive light was going but there was little load on cpu. After about 5 mins it ran normally, I am sending out one txs at 5 secs

Startup weirdness is gone in 6fa3b7c7695616e69de9635a0fec52b2
With this i was able to try your wallet.dat. I had to change a couple of things to get it to load and then I never encountered the slowness. Hopefully it is fixed.

Good work! Hopefully I will have time tomorrow to see if I can reproduce the wallet.dat slowness.
Looks like progress is being made Smiley

I was sending out 1 txs at 3sec's and after not that long after I received Error:signal 6 and the last line in the debug.log is: HashForBlock(): m_bestBlock hashPrevBlock mismatch!CDBEnv::EnvShutdown : Error 22 shutting down database environment: Invalid argument

When i restarted is was doing getblockcount and the number of blocks was getting smaller each time i did a getblockcount?
