I misread the entire last few posts; that indeed appears to be the case. I feel bad. Should have taken his watch... Haha.

Maybe, but if you want to find out, it'll cost (and at least that way I make up some of my losses).

Then again, you can't go wrong with a name like Milkman39.

Offer collateral is an old trick specially how forthcoming he acted in the beginning. It sets up the victim for the villan perfectly since the victim eventually feels its to much effort to take the collateral and act on the word of the villan. In this case if Patrick ever made it clear, Watch first then coins, milkman would have just vanished and nothing would have been stolen.

Just so people are aware, because there is some interest in this, I have funded 70 coins to Milkman39.
I have a variety of information requested and provided and potentially a very nice watch.
But, did you get the watch first? Like in: before sending him the 70 BTC? I can collect at my leisure if I need to, either in person or by proxy. I wish I could say the present outcome wasn't expected when I asked the question quoted above...

I know some of the details about this and will just say that it's a good story and as someone else posted earlier I believe there is hope for humanity.

Yes, it's obvious I haven't been repaid. That doesn't take any intelligence. If that's all you wanted to know, then you'll be satisfied.

I don't think satisfied is the right word... We are not that bad. At least I'm not, and I will not be satisfied by knowing you got scammed :-(

I think that established/advertising Lenders should be voted in as MODs for the Lending section in order to see IP addresses of prospective borrowers so that in case of scams etc, they could get started on ID legwork immediately and not have to rely on Theymos or anyone else if under time constraints.
Patrick, Burt, Kluge, Ina, senbonzakura......? ....others ?
This would definitely help in the pursuit of info gathering for defaulted loans and user identification etc.
Whaty happens when the MODS turn out to be scammers themselves ?
