Crypto isn't only for hiding things. It also makes it VERY hard to steal other peoples coins, fake coins, it's what makes Bitcoin work. It all depends on cryptology. |

It's been a while (to say the least) since I studied it, but isn't "to stand" in the plural 1st properly declinated "stamus"? "tribuo" sounds suspect as well. |

It all depends on cryptology. i totally understand. in fact i love the cryptography, anonymity too, but i'm looking at it from a marketing aspect to the masses and esp. our gov't. |

I see the reference to Cryptography to be no different than saying "In Mathematics we trust" (as cryptography is a branch of mathematics). It's a science in one of the purest forms. That's why it becomes an interesting play on the antithesis "In God we trust" as the purest form of faith.
My next favourite so far is "Unity in division" by deadlizard. It's not quite as self-explanatory though, which I suppose lends itself more to latinization. If it was a concise understandable statement, I'd keep it in english.

I think latin is much better than english. Who would wants to associate the Bitcoin with only the english-speaking world? Even tough latin may be associated with the holy guys in rome... Can't we use icons like there are on these space probes? ;-)
I think since it is called BITcoin, we should try to encode something in binary on the coin, no? Maybe like a barcode when 0 and 1 take too much space. And it can be in big- and little endian on the opposite sides :-)
