Obviously to make money, that's why I started
But after losing quite a bit from being scammed once, I lost all my faith in bitcoin.
The only reason why I stayed was because of this community. It is like my second family.
What's your reason for joining and staying with bitcoin?
This is my 500th post !!

Why i join and stay with bitcoin? Because Bitcoin has a lot potential. This crypto world, it's like a whole new world to me I believe bitcoin is still in late-early stage, there's still a lot to do with Bitcoin. I believe someday Bitcoin will be mainstream, many people knowing and using it, many company using it for payment system and many nations allow to using it. I believe we're in a great development And i learn a lot from this world, i'm more updated about technology, security, business and economic I also earn some decent BTC from many opportunities here

Initially I had joined Bitcoin because I hated the bankers and wanted to promote an alternative. But in turn, Bitcoin has fetched me decent profits after its value rose. (I had purchased coins for $10 apiece. And now they are worth $650).

I'm always interested in new technologies, with bitcoins I found a nice way to profit and to learn something new at the same time.

Because bitcoin is an investment which can really increase over time. It went from $1 to > $600 so far, who knows, it may go to $6000

I don't think it's obvious that people get involved with Bitcoin just for the monetary gains. When I first heard about Bitcoin I immediately became fascinated by it as a concept and the potential power it has to change the baking system (which I believe to be unfair and corrupt). I genuinely did and still do believe it to be a revolutionary idea that could change the world for the better in many ways. I initially bought my first coins just to get involved and had every intention of spending them, but before I got the chance to the price rose significantly and quickly went up by over 1000%, so I thought I may as well hold on to them as an investment and see where they end up. Now I believe in it even more as both a system and a currency and am hodling onto my coins to see where they can ultimately go. I'd love nothing more to be able to spend them though, both through investing in other ideas I have and ultimately travel off the profits spending them all over the world. At least that's my goal and what I'm hoping for.

Making money from it should be 90% of people, or knowing the cause of bitcoin goes beyond that.
I joined this community so we dont have to rely on fiat money that banks control, so look back at the 2008 incidents people were looking where to put their money and they look at bitcoin.
That itself is enough reason for me to stay, that banks cant touch.

Mostly I wanted to check it out as an alternative to fiat currencies and all the dumb shit that goes with them. And it's a pretty cool community even with all the scammers floating around. Sure, Bitcoin is going to get regulated, but what we really need to be doing is taking charge of the regulation process.

Partly because I am intrigued by Bitcoin as a technology, but also because of the investment potential. It has consumed a large portion of my spare time.

Same here, I spend most of my days on the altcoin forum and on exchanges watching how the market is going. Gah, I should focus more on school but this is so exciting.

Haha, I occasionally check the markets while I am at work - I keep a few tabs open. I only really browse the forum and post in my spare time though.
