Good answer!)
Multicurrency is a tricky question. Maybe solution is to follow initial hosted currency, e.g. if the bet started by BTC, all the next bets should be in BTC, and so on.
I understand that you have lack of financing. But what about some external sources? There are many ways to get money for development. For example, Augur gained 90 millions USD during ICO.
Any ICO plans for Betmoose? This way is much better then just donation button hidden somewhere on the site.

Pegging or locking to any particular crypto defeats the purpose of multi-currency; most users will likely place in BTC anyway, so the situation will not change - people with ETH or otherwise will be forced to convert to BTC via us (and we would have to charge a small % to do that for them), and they would get back BTC as a result.

Regarding ICO, we have not looked into that at this time; maybe in the future!

Hi, RomeoDelta.
To refer someone, simply add ?ref=RomeoDelta to the end of any betmoose.com link

I've been a user of this site for 1,5 years and from my average gambler's viewpoint the biggest advantage of Betmoose is that it is an actually working platform with intuitive interface. The key to attract bettors to your propositions is to place early bets. Some things besides liquidity might be slightly improved, indeed.
The maximum number of outcomes can be increased to 6. The list of the featured bets probably should be a bit longer. A separate ranking page showing total commission earned by 50 most active bet creators could be possibly added as well.

As concerns Ethereum, I personally couldn't wrap my head around how its wallet (or network) works - compared to Bitcoin it looks like a total nightmare.
It seems that some people are attached to Ethereum (and copycat ERC20 tokens built on top of it)   for no good reason.

Augur is heavily promoted by Forbes and in my opinion it is hardly a good sign. The whole project looks like a deliberate parody on a smoothly working prediction market. Not sure who is actually betting there besides the devs themselves. The timing of their launch and the choice of a betting currency couldn't have been any worse!
I also wonder why Gnosis still hasn't launched and has no clear ETA with all the funding they have... Perhaps it is for the reason outlined above?
You are too sceptic about ETH and ERC-20 family. It is perfect tool for building prediction markets based on smart contracts; I don't know what technology is used behind Betmoose, maybe it is also some kind of smart contracts based on BTC?
I have to say, Betmoose is still one step ahead of competitors, but it is a ruthless race, more money=more traffic=more profit.

in theory, yes, it is a perfect tool. In practice the following solution is being proposed:

https://assets.circle.com/marketing/images/research/primers/markets/image9-8890055ad2a87a75e226543cb2fc7540.png

This 'ultimate oracle' has nothing to do with deciding the correct outcome and may eventually facilitate an Ethereum hard fork.
My impression is that this clumsy procedure is the exact type of thing one may want to come up with if his actual purpose is to ridicule the idea of decentralisation or to suppress/subvert the development of prediction markets. I am not tech savvy though, may be the overcomplexity is the new fashion.

I want to like this site, I really really do.
But I made a wager not too long ago, and am not sure why the odds are as is:

.0001 x 2.905x = .0001 ?
Wouldnt .0001 x 2.905 = .0002905 ?

Those are not odds, you are quoting the weight. Please see our FAQ to how parimutuel bets are paid out. The reason you are getting the same amount back is because the winning pool of bets get paid out from the losing pool, in accordance to your weight. You have a small bet at a low weight, hence, does not claim much from the opposite side.

Also, it look like I placed a wager but cant win anything
This site will never be a major player

That column does mean Odds if the proposition is a 'fixed odds' proposition-type (see FAQ). Not many users prefer hosting those, but they do exist and are available on our site, if you wagered on one of those, you would get back exactly what you'd expect.

I must say that I am quite surprised BetMoose isn't more popular after all this time.
Do the masses actually know the site it exists?  Are people just uninterested or just unaware?

Given the amount of people that still give their money to unfair BinaryBetting outfits—with manipulated systems designed to make you lose!—you'd think BetMoose would have a constant influx of new enlightened members.

Unfortunately, the liquidity is still quite sparse, even after four years.
I really hope that will change if more people realise there are other alternatives to traditional betting sites or exchanges like Betfair, BetDaq, SMarkets, etc.

I had my eye on FlexiHedge for a long time but it appears they couldn't make it work, which is surprising considering they (like BetMoose) were quite unique.

( Why is it so hard to get people to bet against each other instead of doing it via some corporate machine that doesn't have your best interest at heart??  Angry )

The biggest attraction for me is the fact that your chances of winning are now 'on a level playing field' without someone trying to handicap your success or penalise you for making a regular profit.
At least now, if you lose then you lose fair and square.

I'm planning to post regular Bitcoin-themed 'HighLow' styled bets (because that's my main area of interest) but will include some index/commodity/miscellaneous themes later.

In case anyone fancies a punt, I posted my first proposition here:
https://www.betmoose.com/bet/will-the-price-of-bitcoin-reach-4500-or-3500-first-4368#bets-1

Hey everyone,

Sorry about the downtime, it's a technical issue we are investigating. We actually had a bug with our emails hence why we didn't react to this in a timely manner.

We're not going anywhere, don't worry. Give us another day or so.

Avalon

Hi Avalon,

I'm not sure if your email service is down again, but I just received an email back as 'undelivered'.
My hosted bet has been resolved and I sent you the outcome info as instructed.

Let me know if you are aware of the issue.
Cheers.

Wow, this site was good for me. Here are some good features. There is also a need to have a site which has been confirmed here. This site was interesting to me. I've visited this site and I think its graphics design was very good.

Looks like this is one of the oldest sites around in the similar category,,, strange I only see the thread now. Does any user recently use this could you share and post some of your experiences? We need many more prediction markets sites, the existing ones either do not have enough markets or they have too small the margins to bet on.

How do I get in contact with someone at BetMoose? I submitted a query through the support form and an email to support@betmoose.com, but I haven't received any correspondence back. Furthermore, PMs to BetMoose on here are not allowed. My email concerned an anonymous bet that I won and was supposedly settled on Oct. 2, but which has not been paid out to my depositing address.

I was about to advise you to contact them in their other social media accounts, but it seems all are dead including Twitter and Facebook. And this thread is also not that active.

The last time BetMoose was online was like a week ago but haven't replied since May 29, 2019. If it is not settled on the next coming days, then probably good to open a Scam Accusations against them.

Why you guys always fall on inactive sites?
You have many opportunities to bet on various popular and trusted websites, why you gone for a new one?
I can easily conclude that, you won't get you winnings to your wallet.
The site seems to be dead.
The owner and the Management of the team isn't active at all on any of the either Social medias, nor here.
So it's better to make up your mind, and think of recovering the losses.
Hope everything will be fine for you.

Agreed with @kemarit. Some people are crazy by seeing lucrative advertisement on social media or posting by shitty people and involved in any project without knowing properly. This is about to end 2020 and be smart bro. There are so many betting sites that will difficult to count and you are doing bet on inactive site.

I don't think there's any need to be inactive here for lack of communication support the site is good at showing there is a lot of inactivity in betting bet365 is currently one of the most popular online gambling sites in the world. As it is a very old and international quality site there is no possibility of being deceived this site usually pays on sports betting you can bet anywhere you want.
