Dear devs,
Shame on you for not making it MORE OBVIOUS that the first 720 blocks were without reward. People wasted time and money because of this "overlook" of yours.

Update 7-24-14 12:36 PM: Smooth Launch  Smiley Miners please review block reward structure before renting. We are currently working with the exchanges and performing the coin swap, We will update everyone once this process is finalized. Please do not withdrawal your XHC from Poloniex until this process is completed and posted here. More developments to come, Stay Tuned!

Update 7-24-14 3:06 AM: You should have already sent your coins to Poloniex Exchange as the Deadline has passed and the market will be frozen until launch. Please Delete your old Honorcoin wallet from your computer entirely including the Honorcoin directory located in your roaming folder! The wallet will be released before launch in 9 hours. July 24th at 12:00 PM EST NOON

Update 7-23-14 3:20 AM: Furthermore, new investors that acquire honor coins at Poloniex, your coins will automatically be converted for you! Just leave the coins you purchased on Poloniex and download the new wallet when it is released on 7-24-14. After that you can safely withdraw your Honorcoin 2.0 coins to your upgraded wallet!

Update 7-23-14 3:20 AM: Bittrex is on board and will restore Honor coin for the Community! They are no longer accepting new deposits. Everyone who has coins stored at Bittrex as of yesterday, your coins will be exchanged automatically for the new XHC at launch! If you still have Honor coins in your personal wallet, then get them to Poloniex as soon as possible before the old wallet/block chain becomes invalid. Deadline for the 1:1 exchange is 11:00PM EST on July 23rd!

Honor Coin Development Team Updates 7/23/14 1:57 PM EST

We are currently finishing the Honorcoin Prospectus.

What is a Prospectus you ask? "It is a usually a disclosure document that describes a financial investment for potential buyers. It commonly provides investors with material information such as a description of the company's business, financial statements, biographies of officers and directors, detailed information about their compensation and any other material information. A prospectus is distributed for current and potential  investors.

Why not a white paper? A white paper is an authoritative report or guide helping readers understand an issue, solve a problem, or make a decision. White papers are used in two main spheres: government and business-to-business marketing. They may be considered as grey literature.

Investors deserve more. A real investment option for their portfolio, not just some marketing scheme. We are a real development team and will deliver real results that impress even the seasoned investor.

We feel that the current prices at the exchange will never be seen again. XHC exchange price is still undervalued and presents an opportunity for investors.

Can someone explain what is the reason to be mined so much empty blocks, is it somehow related with shares?

There is no reason. The Dev now regret his mistake. It is a fair relaunch that hurts. Should've put it from 1 - 120 (0 reward)
and then 121 - .... (reward). Yes!

No regrets here. Remember that there is a coin swap taking place at Bittrex & Poloniex.

We gave the exchanges ample time to successfully perform the swap for the community. They are responsible for many other business related duties and extra time was given in consideration. The Last thing we wanted was for the new XHC block rewards to get mixed up during the swap.

No, first you should give the exchange time to finish the swap, then pick the time to launch with maybe the first 120 blocks empty.

Should have read more carefully that first 720 wblocks are without reward. At least I pointed my rented miners to multipool to cover some of the costs. 720 does seem to much now that most people are quitting.

Everything else is absolutelly top notch, very smooth launch and coin I will be keeping my eye on.

Am I missing something, I could swear I knew about this zero block ordeal for DAYS?   Has this not been said MULTIPLE times throughout this thread AND posted in the OP?  I don't read everything and have not followed this daily but I still knew this was going to happen.  I understand those that rented and did not know may be upset, but is it really not your fault.  Is it not how this works, YOU read the OP and the thread of the coin you are monitoring or investing in and make your OWN decisions based on what information is available to you in the thread and OP?

Is this not the purpose behind having a coin thread in the first place?

Come on people, this man pulled off a miracle for us and we ALL now have a chance to recoup our losses because of Jarvis's efforts, stop bitching about how he had to do that and show some fricken gratitude!  People are something else sometimes!!

I have actually pointed my rented miners at suchpool earlier today, long before launch, and then went on with my day's work.
Then I've checked them this evening, only to see that all my rented hashes were wasted mining empty air, because I didn't read the fine print, conveniently "camouflaged" in a non-searchable, tl;dr raster image. That hurt.

Well, at least everybody says it was a top notch launch. Only a small flaw: the thing that was launched was hot air.

As you can see in the OP, the reward structure was made more obvious only in an update, 20 minutes after launch.

You seem to be really struggling with the comprehension of simple implications. That's breaking my heart. Here, I'll make it easier for you. Read this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fine_print

The obvious (unlike this reward structure) implication is: some people catch the fine print and others don't. It doesn't make it less scummy.

It's ok man, you just set your miners and went on about your business hoping to mine and dump the coin but since you didn't read the OP now your a tad butt-hurt... It's fine man, I too like to mine coins without reading the OP entirely and all the posts associated with it.  Smiley  Roll Eyes

Yeah, it's ok I guess. It's not like I can do anything to get back my investment. Just blowing of some steam from the fresh butt-hurt.
This however doesn't mean the block reward should't have been made much clearer from the beginning.
