They're selling all sorts of coins for relatively cheap prices. Seems suspicious to me. Does anybody have any experience with them?

I haven't checked the site but the old adage if it looks too good to be true then it probably is may apply here. Don't be fooled in just by the cheap prices as this is usually a classic hook.

Well... if anything... they do take major credit cards and paypal. so you've at least got some buyer protection there if they don't deliver. I also checked the better business bureau and ripoffreport.com for anything pertaining to them. nothing came up. A basic google search brings up about 6,000 results. Not sure if all are relevant, but it looks like they have a decent presence on the interwebz. A whois lookup turns up a bit of a discrepancy, though. The registrant and admin info seem a bit... off. They put their address as being in New York. But they listed China as the country where they're located. A lookup of the country code (+86) they gave with their phone/fax numbers backs that up. Also, the exact address they gave doesn't exist in New York City, where they claim to be located. Based on the whois alone, I would say it seems a bit fishy.

My advice would be... if you do decide to try buying something from them, be cautious and only purchase small amounts at a time. If you choose to use a credit card, go buy yourself a prepaid card and only put however much you intend to spend on it. That way you won't get screwed if they decide to go rogue and dip into their customer cc database.

Good luck. And if you do make a purchase through them, post a report here on the forum.

When using scamadviser.com  it looks like the website isn't very trustable:
http://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/coingoo.com

it has a rating of 33/100

Alert Result: This website is 60 Days old
Alert Result: The website expected life (365 days) is relatively short.
Alert Result: The website appears to be less than six months old
Alert Result: This website setup involves countries known to be high risk
Alert Result: This website is likely to be operating from a high risk country

Last but not least, they say they are "VerySign secured" ... verySign is an SSL service, which not only is way expensive, but, when trying to navigate their website over https  I get this message: "This Connection is Untrusted"

Be careful

Thank you all.  I agree that it sounds too good to be true. Best listen to my instincts and leave these losers alone.

Thanks for all the input and advice.

They spammed the hell out of bitsharestalk.org and the links don't even have affiliate codes.  I'm talking like 20 posts on every forum.  Pathetic.

Somebody with a brand new account just posted a link for Coingoo.com on the NXT forum.  The coin offers were really cheap!  Within a couple of minutes the post was taken down.  I am guessing it was spam.  I came on here and this is the only other information I could find about that site.

Looks too good to be true.  I could have made 30% on arbitrage turning around and dumping them.  If Coingoo was so happy to sell coins, why wouldn't they just dump on any regular exchange?

Coingoo.com is so blatantly a scam.  Like I said, they hammered bitsharestalk.org.  Every forum.  They did not act professional in the slightest.  I'd give them benefit of doubt if the links had affiliate ids.  There is no way it could be legitimate.

They've been using bots to post their advertising crap all over this forum recently. Stay well away.

You want to test out a scam site to see if it's a scam? Go right ahead and report back.

They're doing it here too. They pop up daily. Another one just this morning: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=664925.msg7503396#new

Just report them if you see them. Hopefully the text they post can be added to a blacklist to auto-ban them or something.
