All UF did was spam sockpuppets to promote NEM back in January. UF only kept 1 sock for a second stake, which is legal if it's for someone else. Taint analysis removed hundreds of sockpuppet stakes.
BCnext and Satoshi had conversations with themselves, in the beginning, to drum up popularity. Seems fitting UF would name his sock "ghosthouse". UtopianFuture, Satoshi and BCnext may as well be the same person.
NEM never had an IPO. It was a call for participation where most people paid $5 to $40 and it has a very fair distribution, unlike NxT's IPO whales and all the other $hitcoins out there.
UF resigning had no impact on the price of NEM, historic low was 17K and it's currently above 20.
The people who think UF committed murder are all NxTers who fear NEM.
In that case, I say ask him back on board, if it really, really was only one extra stake.
As a longstanding NEM stakeholder, I really don't care that UP snaffled an extra stake for himself.
And, btw, Taun, I'm getting bored of your constant anti-NXT paranoia/FUD....could you dial it down a bit?
I hope UP does return someday, but I think with the controversy right now, it wouldn't be good. To get overthrown for having an extra stake is such a small offense in this community rife with premines, secret packs with buddies, and sock puppets. If NEM is successful in a year from now and UP comes back penniless, I would happily contribute to the UP fund and welcome him as a hero.
Also, NEM on its own is really coming together without a single leader. It has been really nice to watch it develop. After all, this is really what a crypto that can change the world should be about anyway.
Lastly, I don't think NEM and NXT should be fighting at all. I imagine most of the large NXT people are actually a part of NEM too. Right now NXT has been a huge help to NEM via NEM being on the Asset Exchange, and hopefully someday NEM will also be a help to NXT too. In many ways I see NXT and NEM has siblings, not as enemies. There might be some sibling rivalry now and then and that is natural, but there by no means needs to be hatred between the two.
