What are some new options we can use to get some of the people just stumbling into the world of BTC or people who have been out for a while and know they can't mine or afford to buy any equipment or outright by BTC to get a little piece of the coin?
Personally I've been struggling with ideas myself for a couple of weeks, ad sites are out because they pay out too little. I remember when bitvistor was paying out a good deal of coins for each website but that was well over a year or so ago. Faucets are becoming a thing of the past, people can't afford high speed asic's or outright buying coins.
Anybody have any new ideas?

If you a "Faucetsucker" and you want to suck on the taps, go all in.
Get a decent amount of active "newbies" for referral income, from several paying faucets. Let them do the work, and you count the coins.
That will get you some steady income from faucets. Keep them motivated, by putting down a decent amount of coins, for the referrals who is the most active. {Freebitco has such a option, to reward, your most active referrals.
Hard work at the start, then it goes better later.

Shitty options you have there I must say, 2 times same option "I don't know", why is that? But I will say "More signature campaigns". Why? Because gambling is always risky and faucet mostly gives way too small amounts.

money is not easy
Ain't that the truth. I'm just thinking of ideas of people just wandering into the world of bitcoin who don't have the money or whatever to invest in rigs and what not. Faucet sites are long gone, mining is pretty much dead unless you can put the capitol into it.

Faucets are still around it is just that they pay next to nothing. The best way to get bitcoin is to sell your services in the marketplace (either on the forums or elsewhere)

While mining may not be profitable for many newbies, anybody with a desktop pc can do it. This at least meets the criteria of "idea for a newbie to earn a little coin". I mean, shoot, my daughter has a pc she doesn't use during the school day with a GT260 vid card on it that with cudaminer is lucky to get 40kH. 40! That's crap. But I let it run anyway and still get about 100 Dogecoin/day from multipool.us and since +100 Doge is more than I had the day before then I let it run.
Yeah, you may say the electricity cost isn't worth it and it's probably not. But backing any new idea that could be worldchanging is rarely profitable in the early stages.
I don't trust gambling sites. I suck at real life gambling when I can see everything on the table in front of me so the last thing I want to do is click a button on a website and hope the programming on the backend is set properly to mimic real life machines (which are only required by law to payout 75% of the time in Vegas).

I think we have reached the point where the BTC economy is too large and important that large holders feel they have to "give away" anything. Now it's just like $ -- need to offer stuff to sell, or run a business/offer a service.

If you're a good programmer who already knows something about integrating payment options, you can just pick up some jobs in the Services section and start earning some decent amount of Bitcoin in about a month. Otherwise, just do the Bitcoin version of a garage sale and sell some old stuff you don't need anymore.

Participate in one of those Newbie and Jr. campaigns. Go into it knowing you're going to get a crappy payscale, just a few cents.
Other than that, Bitcoin is pretty darn hard to get if you're not willing to make a stable business plan, rank up, or sell/buy things.

+1 Similar to the gold rush of 1849 - it was never the miners that made out with the profit, it was the hoteliers, the retailers of mining equipment, and the convenience services (bath & extra). If you really want to capitalize on crypto at this stage find something that fills a void and others would be willing to pay for.

Altcoin mining is slightly better, but still it is not easy to get profits.

You could try to sell stuff locally for BTC on craigslist or the goods section on here. I've sold domains and simple websites that I made for BTC. Obviously though, you have to offer something of value to make BTC, and you usually have to spend either time or money to be able to make some money.

You guys realize that making bitcoin is just the same as making fiat money? It's all about the time investment. I never understood why some people want to make coins only even if they could make more in fiat for the same amount of time invested, when they could just go to an exchange...

How do you earn from voting? can you briefly describe Let me try to answer it. So every coin want to get on an exchange, and some exchange are using vote system to choose the coin. This is it. Coin developer are paying people to votes their coin on a specific exchange, usually mintal. For example, HYPERcoin dev are opening this campaign, they are paying 7 Hypercoin per 1 votes on mintpal here http://coinzen.org/index.php/topic,913.new.htmlWe simply just votes hypercoin on mintpal, after that post the votes number and our hypercoin address on thread above.

for now ALT giveaway is the best way to earn BTC because if only use faucet for earn BTC it just wasting your time last time i do some alt coin for vote it worth 500-3000 satoshi/vote/hour Agree, beside sig campaign, mintpal votes giveaway is nice too. I was getting about 50k satoshi/vote for voting SC on mintpal. Although right now the available giveaway is not as good as SC was, but is still worth to do You can check those giveaway here http://altcoingiveaways.com/index.php/board,4.0.htmlhttp://bitcoingarden.tk/forum/index.php?board=2Well that is worth if you know that coin price will raise and you sell it on right time. Generally are not worth your time.

There are small tasks that you can work on to earn some bitcoins over at bitcoinget.com. Examples of tasks include "Look up 3 keywords on search engines", "Provide signal strength measurement from your Android phone", and lots more. You can easily earn 0.01 BTC a day with your spare time.
Any idea how long it would take for me to earn 0.01 btc a day?

Not worth our time? Really? It takes no more than 10 seconds lol. Even without price rise, some coins are offering more than 10k sats per votes. For me, it is really worth my time

I earned the most of my bitcoins at Coinworker. You have to put some time in it, but after some time, it can really become a good source for getting free bitcoins.

It's actually pretty easy to make a decent amount of coins.
Build your own website (blog) (you do not need skill for this, just look up how to build your own Wordpress website on Youtube) Write about services that will give you Bitcoin for referring users.
Make sure your article adds value for the reader and some people will use your affiliate link which will make you money (bitcoins in this case) You will need a lot of articles on your blog to get a decent amount of visitors, that requires some time. Works the same as for fiat.
For the record, I am not talking about making a spammy website filled with nothing but affiliate links, also try to write some blog posts without any affiliate links. And I guarantee you that except for basic writing skills, you do not need to have a technical background to get a blog up and running. There are enough step by step tutorials out there!

Unfortunately while this is a good idea I am terrible at creating content for blogs, so I don't know exactly what I would write about. I've tried this a few times with google adsense and finding a niche and SEO and what not and it didn't work out that well for me. I guess I'm just not a born writer. Not to mention right now I don't have the time to really do any of the work in research and writing.

I usually write down every idea I come up with throughout the day and collect them all in a Google doc, then I start turning those ideas into articles. But you seem to write pretty good, so maybe some freelance work is an option? Keep an eye on the services section of the forum, though this has probably been mentioned already.

Well thanks for that compliment. I was thinking about it, I've had offers in the past to write for various blogs (comic, etc) and I turned them down because I didn't think I was good enough to write for them, but money is very tight and short so I don't really have any other options and it's about time for me to start thinking outside the box and come up with some ideas on how to make a disposable income until I get disability figured out. That's something I have also struggled with, thinking I was not good enough to write for established websites and blogs. But the only way to get any better is by getting more experience. And I would really suggest you give blogging another go, alongside with any freelance work. It's really a good way to earn some passive income. I have also done some work through Fiverr and made some good money with that for quite a while, but the competition ordered some gigs from me and gave me a few bad ratings. Fiverr wouldn't take those ratings down, even though I had proof. I just abandoned that account after that happened. It might be an option for you though, but do not become too attached to that account.

If you have IT-related skills consider posting something on a site like either coinality or similar.
Signature campaigns are a good way to earn a few satoshi's while getting to know the threads.
Auction threads if you have anything of value your wanting to sell for bitcoin. All kinds of ways for you to earn some coins.

If you know how to code stuff or provide any type of services, you can post at the service section and see if people would hire your service, otherwise, if you know a lot about bitcoin and can post a lot of constructive stuff, join a signature campaign in a few weeks.

I have a few goods I might look into selling, just a few random things here and there that i've picked up. I'm looking into getting things and learning how to do things "outside of the box" (not illegal) because right now I have no means of finding work, so I'm gonna try and earn a little money and make as much BTC as I can, buying it or whatever until I have some kind of backing and then we'll see what happens.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

The easiest way is signatures, they pay a lot of realiable bitcoin and it is more profitable than faucets.
Also it encourages you to keep informed about bitcoin.
Another good option is investing in a company or starting your own company and accept bitcoin.

Don't forget about the annoying 360 seconds limit for people with <= 14 activity. They should have "significant time" to check the forums, while they are waiting to make their posts.

It actually isn't good to have newbies in a signature campaign. Most of them do not have much knowledge about bitcoin and cannot give an accurate answer. It can create spams in the forum, not saying all of the newbies as some have a good knowledge of bitcoin.

Exactly. Newbies would just get frustrated after spending an hour on faucets and making a few cents. On the other hand, newbies can make reasonable amount of bitcoin with sig programs.

I would just like to say thanks to all the people who posted some ideas. ty

can you explain more detail about signatures? you can earn bitcoin by put their advertisement in your signature space that advertisement will show every time you post in this forum before that you must join signature campaign, most of all need member level as minimum requirements. but you can find signature campaign who accept newbie, just click link at shorena's post above there's two popular types of signature campaign : pay per post - you earn bitcoin based how many constructive posts that you made in periode of time (usually weekly, monthly) pay per fixed amount - you earn bitcoin based on their offer in period of time, with minimal posts must reach. (for example : 0.05 BTC / month, minimum 50 posts made) For full list of signature campaigns you can check it here: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaignsi think i must repost my recent post

When I started here, there were no signature campaign for "newbies" and it was pretty hard to make coins. I sucked on the faucets and waited to become a member to be able to participate in them.
The waiting paid off, atleast now I am earning something, here. Newbies should make coins more easily now, with atleast 2 signature campaigns helping them on their feet.
If you have something to sell at home, example Books. {Go to a local book exchange, and sell them for fiat, and buy BTC with it} Or sell them online at the market place.

yeah that's very good someone make signature campaign for newbie and jr.member like opened new market for newbie and jr.member but i'm little curious why you still choose your current signature campaign instead PD, that pay your 4x more than your current signature campaign. why?

Not sure about the faucets part, but I very much agree with the sig campaigns part. You may not get much joining the sig campaign as a newbie, but you will get a lot more (eg. 0.05 for 50 posts in Luckybit, currently closed for enrollment) when you get the member rank.

Freebitco.in can be good if you roll every hour and have some referals. Dailybitcoins payout low and slow but you can colect vouchers and sell them at peerbet, and coinad gives a little higher pay then the others.

I have never heard of "crazy hours" Can I get some info about them from somewhere? This is the previous "crazy hour" on LB. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=597165.0The chatters on the site get some huge "chat lotto" randomly, and the biggest prize is something like 0.12 btc IIRC.

Primedice faucet and do good in gambling.
To be honest it's extremely hard to "do good" in gambling, as the outcome is always random and the house has an edge. I've tried several systems, martingale to other forms of auto betting and never been able to make more than 0.000xx in profit from their faucet, and as that's their withdrawal limit I've always ended up blowing it. Perhaps there are some strategies that work better than others, but in the end it all comes down to luck.

Don't waste your time on faucets. If youre one of those lucky bastards who always score at gambling so you know where you should go.

Sell the stuff you have that you were always too busy or too lazy to sell. Take that money and move it to an exchange and learn to buy some coin on the exchange. Or you could buy the coin from a trusted seller on the forums. Chasing pennies from faucets is not financially worth it once you know how to use a wallet.

" Once you know how to use a wallet " lol are you referring to the 0.0001 transaction fee? Don't waste your time on faucets. If youre one of those lucky bastards who always score at gambling so you know where you should go. Hahaha IMO you can only make some money on just few gambling games, poker is one of them. Dice game, roulette, slots machine, i believe is not a good choice if you're looking to make profits from gambling. Eventually you'll lose all your money

The single best thing I ever did with crypto was sell some jewelry I had that I didn't care for. Put it all into BTC - when BTC was $17.
It would take me 50 years of faucets to earn the money now.

I always hope I had bought some bitcoin in 2012 when I first joined the bitcoin community.
