I will try one now with my tipping address. The way I understand it this proves who I am because no one else knows the private key of my address except me, right?
Right, nobody knows this address. The private key is used to move money, that is why you dont want anybody to know it.
I am also told there are lots of scammers and hackers who steal your Bitcoin if you're not careful. How do I avoid this?
You can avoid scammers by avoiding money to strangers. To avoid hackers is more tricky, because hackers are clever people. To avoid, you need a secure computer or cold storage. Some people use Windows machines with tons of anti-virus, firewalls etc, others use a Linux variant. There are several things to do in general, as the computer is now worth money. Security is a big topic, cold storage is the most safe:
>don't install new software (from the web) on the computer
>don't install plugins for webbrowsers
>avoid wireless, use wired internet
>don't use the computer that has money on it, like regular computer. only use it for money
>make a copy of your wallet files (on usb or coldstorage). In case your computer crash, you still want access to your money
>keep your laptop safe (make sure nobody puts hardware keylogger inside)
etc.. I'm sure other members will give more tips
Business advice would also be helpful!! How do I maximize my revenues and make my work more profitable? What sort of things should I focus on? Photoshoots, cam shows, private chat, special requests, etc?
All of them have a market. As it is a startup bussiness, you may want to try all and see what you feel most comfortable with / earns most. Or you could try new things that have not been tried before. For example, in Japan it is possible to hire/rent a (digital) gf for an hour rate; Anyway, I have no experience in this particular area so my best suggestion is to experiment.
We're also planning on launching a new website soon starring myself and a few other local girls that accepts Bitcoin and Darkcoin and maybe other coins. I don't know anything about the technical programming stuff, but I'm definitely interested in advice on the business side of things and how we can make a good, profitable website.
I'm a dev; Generally people use a "LAMP" combination (Linux, Apache, MySql, PHP), it takes some skill or practice to set it all up, but other technologies are common too. For example, some websites rely completely on Java or ASP.NET. The one technology you always see on the web is HTML often in combination with JavaScript. Either do it all yourself, or hire a developer. (or alternatively, get a dev "investor" who get 0.01% of the profit)
P.S. Opinions and feedback on my first album welcomed and appreciated!!
The handwritten bitcoin/darkcoin addresses are good, but perhaps QR code would be a good addition. People could scan and tip. I would suggest to smile a bit more on some photos. Perhaps you could do something with the environment, there is an ship painting on the wall (after you look 5 times
), you may want a more 'romantic' or 'kinky' environment. The wire of the lamp near the wall, I dont think you want this; I think, its important to have the enviornment so that you are the focus of the scene. Images 2, 4, 13,14,15 are the best in terms of body language, but opinions may vary.
